I wear this daily but I’m totally anosmic to it. Sometimes I get a very faint, woody-musk smell that isn’t very pleasant imo but I get lots of complements and often times people can’t even figure out who or what smells so good.
I was looking for this comment. I received my Molecule 01 yesterday, sorayes on my wrist and oh God, that very unpleasant woody-musky smell hurt my nostrils.
I've been wearing this all year. Its winter here in London now. I overspray and then put a scarf on. The heat around my neck and scarf makes it come alive. I was surprised by this but I've had more compliments in the winter than the summer. Wierd but I'm rocking it x
I love the molecule line. Out of all the HUNDRED AND HUNDREDS of frags I’ve ever worn to work or out and about, the only one that got someone else to actually buy a bottle for her fiancé was molecule 04. Sandalwood. Doesn’t smell like that Le Labo pickle trash. I couldn’t even smell it and I have a keen nose. But I’m telling you this lady was enamored with it and bought a bottle for her fiancé. I personally love the 01 and it’s flanker line. I still need to pick up the patchouli +01. The mandarin is my favorite. Iris is great.
I've noticed once it's on you as the wearer you don't smell it but others within bubble will. It's like it disappears after 10mins but jus sets there until someone approaches you and immediately it jumps on them and the 1st reaction is damn what is that your wearing! I purchased my 1st bottle couple of years ago for 30.00 now it jumped to 135.00 it's that good!
Mannnn I absolutely love this stuff and boy that musk is just perfect on me and I’m always getting compliments. I first wore it and was like i don’t smell nothing then my nose adjusted or some and it was like man this is amazing lol I have 2 bottle on deck and even the 02 as well. And i layer them as well.. great juice
Its hands down one of my favorite light scents to wear and my wife love to wear it on warmer days but on her dryer skin it projects but on my skin it comes and goes through out the day but"" melissa put a few good sprays of it on and then apply your Roja elysium and itll bump it up at least a couple more hours
You are right Melissa this fragrance is unique and transforms. It can even smell differently on different days. To me it usually has a nice mix of cedar and sandalwood scents. It will indeed increase the length of some fragrances, but might transform it slightly. You need to try Molecule02 or a substitute because that is Ambroxan and wearing Ambroxan alone is soooo alluring and beautiful :)
Given that you enjoy LV Afternoon Swim you should consider looking into Molecule 01 +Mandarin! Its good choice for a minimalist morning/daytime fragrance for spring/summer!
Got molecule 01 with mandarin and it is divine. Both me and my boyfriend love it. It is a super clean and fresh fragrance that works literally everywhere, great stuff!
Amen,the + Mandarin is incredible.As much as I wanted to repurchase the og version.I knew I had to get one of the new ones. It was a difficult choice because all three are beautiful,but I ended up buying the + patchouli,and it’s magical.The Iris is nice too.Peace and Love.
I bought this today and i can definitely say on me it smells like a really addictive musky scent it’s just amazing i would definitely love to buy another bottle after this one
Molecule 01 is also great to mix with other scents not just to enhance performance but also to turbo charge the scent, so try it with Tuxedo as well you won't be disappointed.
@kdumpling you got it, I spray on the Molecule one first, leave it for around 1 minute for the initial alcohol to evaporate but not dry down completely, then layer your usual scent on top, I usually use slightly less of the 2nd fragrance unless they are poor performing. In terms of where I apply, I usually apply my fragrances to the pulse points on my neck, I would leave for each individual to apply where they usually apply their fragrances, I have found it works best with, Bvlgari Pour Homme, Creed Millesime Imperial, Czech & Speake Citrus Paradisi, Victor & Rolf Spice Bomb and Tom Ford Oud Wood.

On me it smells fresh and almost like the best smelling fabric conditioner. But it really is the best kind of fragrance I like. I sometimes can smell it on me other times I can't but others can. Shocking that it's gone up to £100 I bought it 2 years ago and was £65.
This review is hands down the best review on RU-vid for this sent. I got a 3ml decant of molecule 01 the other day (mainly just because of this review) and admittedly on paper I thought it smelled like pencil shavings but on my skin it's something completely different. This is one blind buy that actually worked out lol
So I picked up 01 about 7 months ago. Didn’t really vibe with it for a week or two. And then I smelt my jacket after two days of NOT wearing the jacket…. Long story short, I recently purchased a travel size just to have on me or to have at work. Literally cannot stop wearing this. Sillage, compliments, inoffensive, scent bubble, projection; overall performance is incredible and strange at the same time. Sure it’s for great for layering however I’ve become less interested in that idea lol. 10/10 for me

I think these fragrances are better suited to use as base layers to enhance other fragrances. You put molecule down first as the base layer. And whatever fragrance you would like to boost on top. I believe that's why the fragrances are so simple. So it's easier to combine them with others without notes clashing.
Got my bottle a week ago….honestly, I’m not picking much up on my skin…maybe a slight cedar….hopefully the warm weather will bring it out a little more …your collection is growing!!…great videos.
I sprayed some on at 5:30 this morning 3 sprays behind/just below each ear ( not this brand it was actually tribute molecule 01 ) 26$ per bottle and I was out side at 12:45 with a slight breeze and a woman about 4ft away say wow I don't know what your wearing but it's working for me! ... Day before that same sprays and I work in a cooler a woman says .."is that you? " I said what? ( I knew what she was talking a out but wanted to see what she would say) I said idk what does it smell like and she says "like musk and wood " I laughed and said idk I can't smell it does it stink? She said no it's very pleasant! I laughed and said ok yeah in that case it's me hahaha I later said most say it smells like cedar ( to me it smells metallic and nothing else but that's my nose ) she responded yeah it's like I'm in the woods but in a very good way! Haha
And it's true ya won't smell it much on your self it's comes and goes with your body heat kinda like an oil burner effect if ya will and ya only catch it hear and there .. same woman that loved it couldn't smell it today wat work then I started moving around more and she say yeah wow now I can smell it!! That's really nice now ya just have to keep moving around me hahaha so it is true when they say even if you can't smell it others can cause each time I got a compliment I couldn't smell it at all! I thought the scent was just gone the last compliment I mentioned was today again and it was at 2 pm I sprayed it on at 5:30 am so there ya have it
This is my most used fragrance. By itself it is good (lovely woody smell), but with pissy longevity. BUT, it livens up the frags I apply earlier in the day. No one ever compliments me on the fragrances I wear (I’ve learnt not to give a shit). So I wear frags for my own amusement only. Rasasi Tobacco Blaze is my favourite of all time (a ciggie ash smell that I love) and the advantage of getting no compliments is I get no backchat either. And if I do, I just apply a little more ISO Esuper.
I just tried molecule 01, I was wearing Juliette has a gun- on me, JHAG is creamy and woody musky- and dries down very clean and soapy, and molecule 01 has no woody notes on me- it smells a bit herbal but still clean- still very soapy. Idk about my chemistry, but I'm vegan so that might be a reason it smells green and soapy...people who eat meat might get those animalistic, leathery musky notes???? idk it's a theory

U can reapply it n it seems to never be to much! Like it never seems to chock anyone out. On clothes if wear it out the next few days it smells amazing
I have hundreds of bottles of perfume and this is the one that I always have backups of and wear each and every day. It smells great layered with everything too. People have chased me down asking about this one. It is for sure annoying because I do not want to take the time to explain it. No one but a perfume enthusiast can understand this. Also, spraying on the clothes was the best advice I ever got when I first bought it at Barney’s years ago. He said this is a way that if you can’t understand the perfume spray it on a scarf and smell it a day later.
Here’s a hard one to crack. I’m a male that works in a nail salon, which of course smells like acetone/polish. What’s something that I could wear at work that ppl would actually be able to smell? I recently had a client that for one I could actually smell that she had a fragrance on. That being said it was definitely something cheap and a lot of it hahaha. I’m not hating but my takeaway is that I might have to wear something with a strong scent…
Not sure why, it has always bugged me when I smell women in public wearing men's fragrances. Like, unisex I get.. That being said, I am sure you pull it off..😆😉
The base of this scent comes of as woody no matter who wears it tho. There might be some slight differences in scents from person to person but the whole thing about bringing the natural smell out is kind of naaaah. More like fortifying fragrances and bringing a woody lingering scent around you
I agree that it smells the same on anyone. Some people can just smell it better than others. And it also depends on when you spray it imo. On dry skin when sedentary, it just smells like a clean wood/pencil shavings. When you spray it right after the shower + right before you do some physical activities = adds a light sweetness to the woodiness that's very addictive. Idk if it's the body warmth or perspiration or just damp skin.
I wore some molecule 01 to a card collector store. Only 2 sprays. A couple of guys were like " uhhhh what is that smell. It smells like bleach and wood"... that being said. Is anyone interested in buying an almost full bottle of molecule 01?
