Loved this video & music selections - you are such an authentic RU-vidr which is the main reason I enjoy watching your channel. Keep staying strong while keeping it real, and enjoy the time w/your daughters before John gets back again! You got this and no doubt you will fix your car issues on your own! God bless you, your family, and your support community = extended military family in Hawaii! Thanks for sharing another great video!

Thank you so much!! Just finished patching up our truck and the girls and I are ready to go paddle boarding! I am so grateful for the community here at Schofield Barracks and online that supports us on our journey! 💕

Raised a military brat and married into it. I get it. But I experienced it more when I was raised into it. I was blessed as my husband didn't have too many TDYs but I've had many friends and family over the years deal with it with their spouses. Thanks for the story. A few tears rolled down my face listening. I'd love to hear your guys story. Hopefully you remember.

Change is hard either way. Coming and going! Realizing what’s going on is probably the best way to temper the change!

This video is so emotional to me. When my dad left for Iraq in 2007 I cried a lot the days before he left For Iraq . My dad left January 20th 2007 for his deployment to Iraq which was 10 days after I returned to school from Winter break in Hawaii that year. He went to Orlando first for his layover and he stayed in Florida for 11 days and then he left for Iraq on January 31st 2007 for 6 months. My dads First Deployment was Korea for a year but that was before I was born. I don't know if they still do this but back in the day Hickam used to do a special gathering for kids who had a parent deployment in Hawaii. Deployment was also hard for my friend Bethany to deal with when her dad went to Iraq in Early 2009 when her Dad left for Iraq and the first part especially the first few months was hard for her I remember her telling me this when we were outside together one day when we lived in Gemini Avenue. Luckily I was able to stay with her in Hawaii until Middle of the year when me and my parents left for Fort Meade in Maryland in June 2009. United is also the airlines that me and my parents took when we left for Fort Meade in Maryland in June 2009. Originally I would have moved in 2008 before Bethany's dad went to Iraq in early 2009 because I arrived from Colorado to Hawaii in 2005 with my parents but My dad filed an extension to stay in Hawaii with the Military since moving during the school year for me was very hard when we moved from Colorado to Hawaii in December 2005 because of this my parents did not move in the middle of the school year again for me. I also can Remember one of my friends from school in Hawaii went on the school camping trip with her dad in January 2009 because her dad was going away to Korea for his deployment.

Military deployments are hard on kids. I remember the days my dad would ship out. Fortunately I was too young when he went to the Middle East during the first Persian gulf war. I do my best for my girls and I think it’s easy right now as we are not in an official war. Still it’s important to recognize the challenges this puts on the family.

Your channel is great! Love the family oriented Videos. I was Navy back in 1979 to 1983 so I get it, had my son while active duty. Looking forward to your next video. My brother and his wife and myself and daughter will be in Oahu for my birthday in March, I love all the fun ideas on your videos, lots of great snorkeling places, have a wonderful rest of your weekend. 💕 The girls look like they had a blast playing having family fun.

Thank you! I hope you have a wonderful birthday here on the island! March is a great time to come! We made it out to Kaneohe Bay for paddle boarding so you’ll see that on the next video!! Once the rain really clears up I’m looking forward to some more snorkeling. 🤿
