I never played Metroid before, so this is my first exposure to it. But I have to say, Alucard’s sprite fits in so well with the game, it’s like he is an actual character in Metroid. Plus! We actually get to see his beautiful walk cycle. Edit: second exposure I guess, because I watched the previous Metroid randomizer video…

Btw, you not only use select to switch regions on the map, but you can use X and Y go switch back and forth, so if you go ahead one too many times you can go back.

What a rough run. But I had to do a ton of dishes and other chores today so was glad to have company. I wonder how quickly a veteran rando player would have taken to finish the seed. Because as a viewer, 2 hours is quite a lot. 1 hour is easy to watch in a sitting or maybe two. But 2 or more hours is a bit more demanding

Also in "basic" you will NEVER have to navigate water rooms without gravity. edit: actually you can have to go into heated rooms without varia.
