Watching this, it really sinks in how impossible the task was from the start. All that work, risk and equipment just to resupply a base in a town where as soon they set foot they get shot at. How on earth could the politicians and top military brass ever believe it was possible to win whatever ‘win’ means? Massive respect to the troops, amazing job that i would never have the balls to do, but let down by terrible strategy at the top.

"British Army dont give up." Didnt age well. But it was the politicians really. They never sent enough to saturate the country as needed. The whole campaign should have ended when they had struck at Al Qaeda effectively, not get bogged down in nation building. Lions and donkeys aint it?

I end up crying 😢 watching these videos of brave and courageous men and women I end up not leaving a comment. I've left a few an cried whilst writing my comments. So I just want to say thank you for life that we live. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you guys. My daughter layla wanted to join and I said to her NO which I dnt regret. Maybe that's me being selfish. But I'd 2 babies but not through war. I didn't want to lose her. However she's a qualified mechanic and does boxing. But your all brave. She probably would of done great being a scouser and that. But getting back to reality God bless you all and your families 🙏

@@jayscott7309 well the Apache s are built under licence by Westland and flown by British Army pilots. The jets are provided by NATO so could be from any of the 15 or so nations that provided Air support to ISAF. Please don’t show your ignorance.
