I've tried to find some contact info for Retro Rick and can't seem to locate. I hate to seem like a sap or a wuss, but I'm gonna put myself out there and just be real. I work as a first responder and also had not the greatest childhood. Rick, you have been amazing in your channel. You've helped me to escape from the PTSD and all the bad memories. All I can say is that you are truly the person for this game store with great insight and strategy to make it a success. The middle center is an incredible aprove for the store and will bring the customer experience to a higher level. I enjoy every minute you capture in your store.

Thanks for taking in those pokemon games from me. The emerald Not for resale I got in a trade in for a switch new in box at a con and the guy really wanted it. I took a risk that the battery wasnt dry. When it worked it was great. Im really glad youre adding it your collection! I told Jason, the guy who brought it to you, that I felt you would really enjoy that Game. Thanks again and I wish I Could have been able to come out there and meet you.

I might have to buy that chair! I like to take short power naps at my computer and I have never found a chair that can lay back that far. That's impressive to me lol.

I tend to pay 1/3 on common and up to 60% on choice and ultra rare stuff. The real money is store credit though. I've been in this game since 2012. I own Budget PC and Retro Games in Eldon MO. We have a 3000sqft store with a retro arcade and we also sell arcade games. Also, making any money back is better than making no money back.

The harsh reality is that the internet is full of Bozo Trolls. Trolls who are not journalists, but actual gameers constantly attempt non-stop to sway you with their BS! Not to excuse any journalists because they are even worse! It's 'mid', 'do not pre-order', 'gamestop is bad', 'mw3 is bad'. Blah blah blah! I am NOT swayed by anyone and I enjoy a lot of modern games so F the haters!

Gets reimbursement from suppliers (RTV credit) for defective, shipping damaged product., [C]. Can get many vendors to come in and stock their products themselves. (In the case of a store like Home Depot or Lowes, vendors pay towards the merchandising team's budget and supply all fixtures and buy back all old product whenever they want to push new products or SKUs, and sales are often vendor-driven). And Walmart makes only like 1.8% profit margin total on their entire business. Just goes to show how hard it is for a store that sells reconditioned or pre-owned products with no chance of recouping losses.

Sorry, but I'll take 25% (or 30% on occasion) sales over Buy 2 Get 1 free any day. The ability to get whatever I want without trying to make sure I have additional items as close in price as possible is well worth the lower discount amount.

Hi ex-GameStop employee here! I used to own a copy of Pokemon Emerald Not For Resale. We used to have a Nintendo rep come into the store. She would update and set up gaming kiosks. She installed a GBA SP and that game was in the cartridge slot. Once the GBA SP got cycled out, I got to keep the game :) #TheMoreYouKnow

like the kid from Christmas story, I bugged my mom for weeks to goto Best Buy the minute you could preorder the gold version of the game, I had to get that gold cart, not the grey one for my December bday gift.
