The only guy on RU-vid with the patience to grow an anubias carpet, I love it. Genuinely enjoy how long haul your tanks are. Do you consciously build them for longevity or is it just a happy mistake? I'm fairly recently rediscovering the planted tank hobby after a brief hiatus
Sean, your new setup is going to go through a big diatom stage and this isn’t good for Anubis, maybe you might want to hold off adding it until the tank is dialled in a bit and you can then add it slowly. It’s just that adding a rich substrate and CO2 slow growing stuff could become strangled.. loving the process on your project..👍❤️
What’s interesting is this Anubis I’m adding I can move. :) I’m not sure it will work at all. But like you said, if I get in trouble at least I can take it out and swap it into another tank for a little bit. I found the shrimp cohabitate well with these little goodies, too so I’m going to pump that thing full of them.
I don’t use co2 often I occasionally use fertilizer but more root tab type. The best are the flourish tabs. I’ve done all the ferts at one point or another but find it difficult to be consistent. For my low population tanks I’ve been using the aquarium co-op stuff about once a week but that’s pretty new.
