Thank you for getting the info out about MCAS! I’ve had it since 2019 and it took me 2 1/2 yrs to find a doctor to diagnose me and treat me. I was diagnosed by a psychiatrist as mentally ill because I had many symptoms and nothing showed up on hospital tests. I knew that was wrong but the doctors were so sure I was lying or delusional. It was awful. I’ve filed a complaint with the medical board explaining MCAS to them and trying to get all the doctors at this hospital to get training in MCAS. Hopefully, they will be bright enough to pick up on this.

Thank you for sharing your story. Kudos to you for continuing to search for solution and for filing a complaint. When enough of us do so maybe the medical establishment will wake up to the reality so many of us live with daily. Wishing you continued healing!

I am from South Africa. I have always suffered from sinus, tinnitus,rhinitis and middle ear infection. It has come and gone . BUT I had covid symptoms in Jan2022 never tested for covid . BUT since then I've had chronic rexpitory infections as mentioned . I came across your podcast today . And aha MOMENT! Histamine intolerance.... . I am so relieved. I have become a recluse because of my sinus and earinfections. Fatigued to the bone . Dr Tina Peers is a genius .. Not ONE IN TEN ENTspecialists could help. I started off with vit C and antihistamine . Will fill up other vitamins asap. No more coffee ,avos and tomatoes. For the first time in years my chronic sinusitis and ear infections makes perfect sense. Also terrible migraine headaches ....I would like to keep in touch with Dr Tina Peers. How and where can I do that . Is there a website ? Please advise. Thank you .

Terri, loved this podcast, lots of info. Would there be a way to get a transcript of the show. Dr.Tina Peers had such great info. and mentioned so many over-the-counter remedies. Her accent was hard to understand. Would love to get show transcript.

Hi. I recall a wondeful website Dr Peers had shared months that was very up to date on covid. I can not find that site now. Does anyone know what it is? I liked that it left out all the fearmongering.

Is muscle twitching a symptom of MCAS ? Antihistamines have reduced my anxiety considerably, but have not turned off the muscle twitching madness

Great cast very informative. I caught the Delta variant in July! I have taken the anti histamine and multi vitamins which have a small amount of niacin in them, plus vit D, vit C slow release, this has massively helped reduce the inflammation, as i am able to speak properly, compared to 3 weeks earlier. I still have issues with my heart, it is painful. As though the inflammation has not gone down in that area? Any ideas what else i can do here? I believe i have low levels of un-diagnosed MCAS. I am too practicing deep belly breathing, Chanting, and mindfulness which has calmed my amygdala to a certain extent.

Glad you have found your way onto the healing path after battling the variant. Wishing you continued health strides. I would recommend reaching out to Dr. Peers via her website www.drtinapeers.com/ or, as she recommends, connecting with the team at covid19criticalcare.com/ Thanks so much for taking the time to share your story.

I am taking everything you already suggested except the allergy medicine. So my question is how long would one with long-covid take this allergy medicine? And what would the long-term side effects be of taking an antihistamine so often for a long term? I mean some of the side effects of the OTC allergy medicines are scary!

Hi Angie, Teri Wellbrock here from The Healing Place Podcast. I would suggest you reach out through Dr. Peers TLC page on Facebook. There is a "message" button there. @@TeriWellbrock thank you. I have tried to email her but not sure it will get to her. I’m sure she’s very busy. I know that every day there are more and more people having success with this MCAS protocol for long Covid. Any chance you would consider having her back on your show to discuss what the future holds for us? For example, do we taper off of these meds eventually. what is the protocol once we’ve gotten things under control?

@@elsie549 I am booked for interviews into later in the year. Which is a good thing for offering more healing strategies from global experts. Here is Dr. Tina Peers contact page that has phone numbers, etc. I know she only consults with people living in the UK but they may have a resource for you if you're outside the United Kingdom. www.drtinapeers.com/contact Here is a resource I've discovered on her site that may help, as well: www.drtinapeers.com/longcovid

When Dr. Peers said exercise increases histamines I was shocked because if I don’t exercise I will definitely gained weight and that’s not going to make me happy. I have already gained 10 pounds from having Covid and being stuck in bed for so many many months. Is this an essential thing to not to do aerobic exercise?
@TeriWellbrock

I thought had replied to your comment so I apologize for the delay. I know each person is different in how we respond to histamine. I personally have been able to lift weights, ride my bike, swim and walk without causing histamine overflow. I'm hoping you can find what works for you!
