A few decades ago, several flawed medical studies told us coffee would kill us. That’s since been quashed and a host of new studies show just the opposite - a cup or two of Joe each day may provide measurable health benefits, and maybe even save your life. We spent over $2000 on equipment and beans, plus countless weeks researching how to make the perfect cup of coffee to take advantage of the many health benefits found in coffee. We also encountered some disturbing facts about microplastics and potentially deadly pesticides that might be in your big brand coffee. This video also covers potential problems with cafestrol and acrylamide. Here's what we found, what we're using, and what we recommend.
Personally, I'm a big fan of what they're doing at Purity Coffee. Great-tasting certified organic coffee, enhanced antioxidants for health, and they're environmentally conscious too. We are now a Purity affiliate. More on Purity here: puritycoffee.com/?rfsn=673665...
ALWAYS filter your water! Although most plastic is now touted as "BPA-free," it's replacement, BPS, may be even worse. Bottled water may have traces of BPS in it, and heavy metals in some tap water make it downright dangerous in some places, especially when boiled and reduced. Any good cup of Joe begins with a cup of clean water. We use either reverse osmosis, ZeroWater, or Waterdrop filters depending on where we are. Here are our Amazon affiliate links to excellent countertop water filters:

Finally, Chemex makes the ultimate solution for brewing healthy coffee. All glass, zero plastic, and unbleached paper filters to remove the cafestrol. They're available in several different sizes. You can grab one of those at Amazon here: amzn.to/3bzONoy
