Hey all, throughout December, and into January, I'll be putting out brief history videos on all 12 NPB teams. The next video will be on the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. My Patreon: / gaijinbaseball My Twitter: / gaijinbaseball
It's amazing how much the Carp were instrumental in the revival of Hiroshima following WW2 as the team gave the city hope to look forward rather than be stuck looking at the scars of the past, especially when they themselves almost didn't make it early on due to the lack of players who wanted to play there to start. It's stories like that of the Carp that make NPB really special and hopefully the Carp can get back on their feet again soon and give a title to the people of Hiroshima. Great video as always Gaijin Baseball. Can't wait for the next one. :)
I really like the episode that the carp was originally “carps” at the very beginning of franchise history.😂 I mean Carps is kind of grammatically wrong, ‘cause the word is uncountable. I do love this franchise. Thanks for an amazing video.
Ok, so I am going to Japan in a couple of months, and taking my young kids to Tokyo dome to watch these guys play the Giants. Can I please ask based on current form which side do you think will win, bearing in mind that a month can be an age in sport? I also watched your Giants video which was very informative, thank you.
