They played this at a gig last year, my friends brother is the flutist in the band . And this is my favourite song - before the track started he said they dedicated the song to me and I screamed with excitement ! I was sooooo happy and so grateful I got to see them play this live
I was going to listen to the song on Spotify, and got dissapointed, bcs the lyric's was deleted‼️Thanks for putting this song out, I have the Herbaliser Cd wt the song, but haven't organized my stereo, so now I could hear it‼️🎯👍JazzyT.
"Blessed are the gypsies, the makers of MUSIC, the artists, writers, dreamers of DREAMS, wanderers and vagabonds, CHILDREN and misfits. For they teach us to see the WORLD through BEAUTIFUL eyes."
First heard this mesmerizing groove over the PA system at Amoeba Records in the States. Flautist Andy Ross put in yeoman's work here. Also, that cold-blooded delay at 1:55 is real horrorshow.
Had this saved on Spotify for years but hadn't listened in a long time. I thought it was glitching when the vocals weren't coming in to discover that only the instrumental is there now what the hell?
Idk if I’m too high and lonely but I just picture the most banging chick dancing to this song while she slowly undresses to this playing in the background
@@kofski maybe because RU-vid is a much older platform, where not every song/video is properly quantified within the system, in conformity with contemporary copyright laws and other such, like Spotify is, more or less. I mean, for example, this very video was not even posted by the Herbaliser...
@@florentinmitriuc7326 yeah maybe...nobody knows for sure. Good thing nonetheless that I had a chance to record it before it gets deleted. Such a nice tune...
Apparently the band lost (or never had) the rights to the vocal samples, so they've been scrubbed from almost everywhere. Glad it can still be found here. Here's the audiobook where it was sampled from (caution: bad words) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--kSUAkZjUrI.htmlsi=x7yZcpZ4uZwg86d0
I heard a censored version of this song when I was a kid, and checked out the original sample about five years ago. I wanted to puke after hearing it to the end.
There's plenty on Discogs. The album is called Very Mercenary. There's seems to be few different versions but my guess would be if you go for the earlier LP that wouldn't have the copyright issues.
