Your 1000% correct my good man. Gangs were built with the purpose of defending your own against another race or police. Back in the days when different ethnicities or races were barely settling in here in the us. Now it's all about power and destruction of another competing force. Which in the end nobody wins but those who only wish too see us kill each other like some modern day gladiators. I just hope the youth can see threw the curtain that's been placed over them on a daily basis.

I hope he’s alive still. He should be 40 by now and I could tell he was genuine in wanting to turn his life around just by the way he spoke. It hurts me to see what my raza have been doing to eachother all for the pride of life. In the end we are all going to die so why not live for something worth living for

I thank God for good people who help in the community.God is so good he gives each and everyone of us a great heart to work with it is us to use it for good or bad. My prayer is for those who feel they can never get out of the violent cycle of gangs and drugs and that feeling of just not knowing in this life. If God is able to change a nobody like me.He can use change anybody.To God be the glory!!!
A group of us from Disney went to Homeboy Ind. for lunch and to look around. I felt right at home as I went to Garfield High School in ELA. Homeboy is doing a great job showing those immersed in gang life there is a better way. God can transform anyone. It's encouraging to see so many lives affected by HBI. I hope they continue!! @JoeDaPlumber : I agree with your posture on viewing gangs and gang members as terrorists. I also agree that they should be prosecuted according to the extent of their crimes; however, I don't agree on extreme retribution against gang members for merely being a gang member or associating with gangs. One of the main differences between domestic gangs and 'foreign' terrorists is that most gang members are U.S born, so they shouldn't be dealt with in the same way as an 'unlawful' non combatant.
Kudos to Rev. Yes that's him. I know Richard since he was 14 or 15. I think he names his business big dogg scrap metal. When covd hit and they shut down the county of LA. Things went downhill for him. The last time we spoke we had a big disagreement but he always be the big homie. I moved out to riverside county a year ago but Richard crosses my mind at least once a week. My kids ask for him sometimes as well.
