The best natural alternatives: 1. Take natural antibiotics (sulforaphane and wormwood extract) 2. Support your stomach by taking zinc 3. Take betaine hydrochloride or apple cider vinegar (if gastritis, inflammation, and ulcers are non-existent) 4. Take a probiotic or consume probiotic foods (sauerkraut and pickles) Thank you Dr Berg!🐱👍🏿
@@Drberg please tell exactly what probiotics should we take? And after the natural treatment how can be one sure that the bacteria will not create a problem As it will still come positive in the test being present in almost everybody.
About 10 years ago I ended up in the ER after several months of extreme stomach pain and anemia. I was covered in bruises, and so weak I was passing out at work. Of course like many who received little help, they said I had gastritis and sent me off with nothing. No plan, no meds. I got fed up after and started researching before finally deducing that I had H Pylori. I put myself on a strict diet of only a few items that I read wouldn’t feed the bad bacteria for several weeks, and effectively cured it. I wish I had this video back then, I would have cried happy tears for a solution. Thank you for doing what you do. That was a traumatic time, and I’m sure you’re saving someone else from it.
I don't know how this doctor does it but whatever health problem comes up in our family at the moment, I open up youtube and Dr. Berg has just posted about it... every time! 😂
This explains why my Red Blood Count and Iron levels shot up after I was able to get rid of my H pylori. I always had low iron levels for a male and normal B12 levels. The doctor was confused why RBC and Iron was always low. Now I have an answer. Thank you !! In case anybody is wondering how I got rid of it. I took two weeks of antibiotics plus garlic, honey, NAC, mastic gum and broccoli sprouts. I threw everything at it. Been tested negative twice in last year.
Thank you, Dr Berg. In our family’s case, tests didn’t show H pylori, only colonoscopy did which was recommended due to persistent unexplained iron deficiency anemia with not acute stomach issues. Declined traditional treatment, used naturopathic treatment including: GI Revive powder containing zinc Black cumin seeds with honey - 3 times a day (there is a study showing its high effectiveness against H pylori) Daily juice with greens, cabbage, carrots and broccoli sprouts No bread during treatment Omega 3 pill Home cooked food rich in iron every 2 hours which helped with persistent nausea and low appetite We saw great results after about 6-7 weeks Wishing all great health. Be your own advocate and don’t give up.
Sorry to ask, but when you say black cumin seeds do they look like small cumin or like black sesame seeds. Having been a retailer in the spice trade, a lot of my customers used to get confused with black cumin and black seed, from which oil is derived. My iron keeps getting very low and don't want to be going for all sorts of tests to cause unnecessary stress. Being on my own now it's difficult. I would like to try this what you recommend.
@@SR-cz5yy Please also consider eating broccoli sprouts (a handful) per day in addition to black cumin seeds with honey. Stick to it for 30 days. This is good for H pylori. However, if your cause of iron deficiency is something unrelated to H pylori, you may need to pursue some other route. Though black cumin and sprouts will unlikely hurt. Also, eating organ meats especially liver (preferably beef) really helps with iron levels. Wishing you the speediest recovery!
You have SET ME FREE!! Thank you!!! Have had low or no iron since I was a little girl and throughout most of my life. I have been given iron transfusions and every brand iron pill on the market. I am almost 80 now and never heard this. I have been eating a lot of cabbage and broccoli lately so your message was on target as I have felt much better and able to eat more foods. I will certainly research and act upon your suggestions. You are awesome!
I was anemic for a long time last year and took Vitamin b12 and iron from food source like liver. It worked for a bit and the problem came back. I tried ACV to increase stomach acidity to improve iron absorption and also Vitamin C for better blood cells. Still anemic. Then when i tried zinc picolinate and vitamin D for hair problems and I stopped being anemic. Think the zinc solved my anemia.
You are a blessing. Thanks so much for putting out this info. My husband has had 3 heart attacks and the cardiologist cant figure out why he so anemic! They have depleted our medical aid benefits with all the specialists and tests, and here you come and make sense of our 8 week ordeal!!!
Vitmin c helps so much ...which is also in cabbage juice and cabbage juice let sit for a few minutes till its stinky is amazing. Also good for joint pain. Nigella seeds and manuka honey are also amazing. And gentle on the tummy. Unlike vinegar which can be harsh. My iron stayed low despite the horrible strong tablets the doctor gave me I started taking about 2 100 mg vitmin c and a less strong vegetable iron which was easy on my tummy floridax...when I stared taking it I felt I wanted to drink the whole bottle by the end of the second bottle it tasted like rusty nails and I knew my body had enough and sure enough my iron levels had finally gone up. Also walking and skip rope jumping to stimulate the bone marrow to make more blood I feel helped me too. Hard to know. Good luck. Trust your body and your mind.
Please understand that this video is not simply "how to treat anemia", but how to try to treat anemia if you have this bacterial issue. If you simply need more iron in your diet, you need red meat. I encourage you to search the video " Iron Deficiency ANEMIA Solution (Absorption Problem Resolved) 2024", that way you can hear this from a doctor and don't have to take my word for it, not that you were going to. :) P.S. I know your comment is older, but I also know that once we've suffered from some kind of deficiency it's something that we will always be thinking about, so if you haven't already treated the cause of your issue, or if you are treating it in a less-than-optimal way, I hope the other video will help you. I used to take Iron and B-12 supplements and, after I switched to an animal-based diet I stopped taking them and my doctor never suggested I take them again, and I can also view my lab test results and see how everything that was too high or two low became balanced when I cut out everything that is non-essential, which is probably 80%+ of what most people eat.

I combined fasting and raw garlic. Idk if it’s gone, but I went from a serious bleeding episode to asymptomatic now for years. DGL, deglyzerized licorice also has been helpful.
I had H pylori and then became anemic. My Dr., after almost a decade, still doesn’t know why I suddenly became anemic. After watching this video, I am 100 percent sure this is the cause of my anemia. I will do what you recommended. Thank you Dr. Berg!! I was starting to really just give up, after years of endless tests, and being totally frustrated by my Dr. Thank You !

@@beasty007 feeling cold craving ice, feeling weak or becoming tired easily and shortness of breath are all very common symptoms of anemia. If you eat a couple ounces of organ meat or red meat if you don't like organ meat and have a glass of lemon water and you feel better shortly after, chances are you are anemic and the iron in the Organ meet plus the vitamin C in the lemon water which helps you to absorb the iron help add iron to your body and remove those symptoms temporarily.
@@GameChanger597 i can run for 30mins without any issues, I think I am fine then in that case. I was concerned about H.pylori because in my recent blood test I've had low levels of vitamin B12.
Morning Dr. Berg. This video has given me hope again. I had an endoscopy back in the summer 7/22 and was diagnosed with H-Pylori. The treatment was 14 days triple therapy 2 antibiotics and a ppi. After so much research regarding the drugs prescribed. I refused the therapy to this day. I just knew I could get rid of HP the natural way. I'm over 55 and has never had a health issue. I've lost so much weight and muscle mass. I didn't even notice the weight loss as if it happened over night. I look so sickly😔. I'm a naturalist, fantastic health I thought. I simply have a difficult time mentally taking pharmaceutical drugs. I did most of the aforementioned for 2 months, even a spoonful of disgusting horseradish a day. I felt really fine😊 no more dull aching feeling in my tummy. I just knew I eradicated the bacteria. Tested again after many months later. H-Pylori is still hanging around. I felt awesome for several weeks. I felt normal again my appetite was increasing then the dull aching feeling in my stomach came back to this day. I keep starring at these bottles still refusing to give in *Metronidazole, Omeprazole along with either Doxycycline or Tetracycline* I'm going back to Natural Grocers this morning 1/23. I'm going to give it a helluva shot this time around for a longer period of time as you mentioned, for four solid months. Wish me luck this go around.
@Betty AmberHi. I'm so scared. I've heard countless horror stories after taking the triple therapy even after taking the therapy Hpylori was still present. The US use an old out dated treatment from my research. I'm praying for direction.
In the early 60’s my father was diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia but by the time they figured it out, it had affected his nervous system so he became somewhat crippled. He had to have monthly vitamin B 12 shots for the rest of his life.
my experience : i suffered from the iron deficiencies for more than 5 years, whenever i visited my doctors they would never focus on the cause of it rather they would just give me iron supplements and vitamin c also vitamin d sometimes ....but they never helped me much ...they just helped me to control my haemoglobin to 7-9 not more than that ... but to take the iron supplement for such a long time like 4yrs just felt wrong to me i even tried to consult with my doctor but he just insist i take them as long as i can but then i decided to not take the supplements any more so stopped taking it but did continue my vitamin C for some few months ......rather than the medicine i stared to pay more attention to my diet I started to eat more veggies(green leaves more ) , added beetroot whenever i eat my salad and fruits , drink more water , started doing exercise in the evening (don't need to overdo ...just do some cardio and some jumping to make your heart race), went for the walk in the morning (trust me doing exercise and walking do help ) , added livers in my meat also blood sometimes..red meats and then finally i could feel some changes in my skins they were more bright and colourful rather than pale and lazy skin with this continue i did got my haemoglobin level to 12 in my 5 years it made me so happy to see that result that i called my sister so yeah rather than just to depend on medicines work on yourself but yeah it is also important to go for some test sometimes to find the cause of your diseases
I've always tested anemic until in my '50s that it wasn't anything into really shout about because it wasn't up much but it was overly line of calling it the name it. My doctor's always brushed it off as being a woman. Yep , copped out. One physician get put me on iron in my 40s non-flushing niacin and that was a disaster. It wasn't the lack of eating red meat or organ meat because my dad was a butcher and I ordered me regular. It's that I've always had an upset stomach because I'm allergic to bread or we I should say I didn't know it back then and wasn't diagnosed with diabetes until my 30s I'm in my '60s. I would test it 28 which is way too low. Why do I have to be in my '60s for someone on the internet that is a physician to give me the information I need. 🤦🤦🤦🤦 Some of you are reading stating the fact that there are decent doctors out there but I am so disappointed and disgusted why so many that don't give a flip to get to the bottom of anything. Currently it's hit 35 which is above the mark still it's not enough and always explains why I'm so damn tired. Ugh.
I have exactly what you described. Chronic gastritis caused by HP and Iron deficiency that supplementation wouldn't solve. I just started Cabbage juicing, Kefir and fermented veggies. I have noticed a huge difference in terms of the pain which disappeared within 4 days already. I am now 4 weeks further and feeling big improvement. I will now add zinc and wormwood extract. Thank you so much for this valuable information! Greatly thankful. Sharing with friends and family members that have similar problems. I know a lot of them!
@@altimablackberry Yes I put the cabbage in a slow juicer. Make sure the cabbage is organic. I'm about to repeat the juicing again for maintenance. My friend just tried it and her HP test results turned back negative.
It sounded like from the video that the fermentation or sprout form is key; I'm curious about the reason for the cabbage juicing (I know it's one of the less pleasant juices :)). I already use many high-quality probiotics and can only recently start doing sauerkraut since I've needed to be off sodium for a while, but I eat raw crucifers esp cabbage regularly. Thanks for the addl. information.

While in the Dominican Republic, I developed gastritis, went to a gastroenterologist, had an endoscopy done, and diagnosed with H. Pylori. While on 3 meds for two weeks, found on the web that treatment must be done twice one week apart. I bought a second round of meds, went to NY, saw another gastroenterologist, had an endoscopy done, and diagnosed again with H. Pylori. I took the American treatment for 2 weeks, waited a week, then took the Dominican meds for 2 weeks. Felt fine. At my follow-up appt, blood work confirmed no more parasite. I also drank real lemon juice, kefir, ate sauerkraut and yogurt.
Wow, that's great. I found out I have alle these problems with gastritis, lack of gastric acid, intrinsic factor , severe B12 and iron deficiency etc. No doctor could help me. Things started to get worse, when I tried Epsom baths, I got too alkaline and found out I needed sulfur. I prayed to God to show me the solution. The next night I dreamed I was walking down a street, passing a pharmacy and all of a sudden a nun (haha) came out of the pharmacy holding a bag with fresh raw sauerkraut in her hand, handed it to me and said "This is the solution". And boy, it really was. I eat raw unpasteurized sauerkraut every day, have my B12, probiotics, Vitamin K etc. and will do this for the rest of my life. Fortunately I live in Austria, so I get fresh sauerkraut in every supermarket, it is very popular here. I always say I could not live in a country (not even go on holiday to a country) where there is NO SAUERKRAUT!

I'm so iron deficient (with anemia) that I'm having to take iron infusions 2-3 times per year. I'm just not absorbing the iron. I'm going to try your advice on this, Dr. Berg.
Don’t over supplement with zinc. At the start of Covid in early 2020, I started taking 20mg zinc daily (along with Vit C, D, K, NAC). I became extremely anemic which docs couldn’t determine cause of. Finally came across an article that said zinc depletes copper which may lead to anemia. So I stopped taking zinc and anemia finally resolved after some time.

Problem is once you see a gp with reflux and anemia we end up taking antibiotics and ppis…, now I try and think of the opposite solution 😂so when I get reflux I think I need acid. It works! Thanks DrBerg 😊
I have had chronic anemia and within the last 2 years low stomach acid and B12 deficiency. I now take digestive enzymes and betaine hydrochloride after eating meals. Plus I take B vitamins and a probiotic.
I had a very bad case of pylori and was prescribed the typical treatment of 2 antibiotics and an acid blocker for 2 months. It did not work, and pylori came back. Thankfully I came across an MD who was also a naturopath and he recommended a treatment, which did work! More often than not, the antibiotics are not a permanent fix. Also, pylori is contagious and runs in families. If a person gets treatment for it but their partner does not, they will probably catch it back from their family. Really, the entire family needs to be treated.
The fresher they are the better, but canned olives are canned with ferros glutanate which is a form of iron, so buying low sodium canned olives is good and drinking the juice that they are packed in is good for you for the iron content.
After 14 day treatment for H.Pylori i end up with neuropathy (nerve damage) and then later low B12 and low Iron anemia, 2 years later i still havent recovered. No, because water goes through the stomach and you need the stomach to be acidic for the body to work right (which he refers to or you can see in many blood pressure videos), you need the stomach to be a pretty sacredly acidic zone.
If this has occurred but an H pylori breath test has already been taken & is negative, is this cause for anemia totally ruled out? Or could it still be the culprit & another test may be needed? Thank u!
Hi Dr Berg, brilliant video!! Sadly vitamins are being thrown at us but never get down to the real cause. I saw a video on prodentim saying we need good bacteria to the mouth which benefits the whole body. It is a soft sugar free chew with specific good bacteria to be sucked in the mouth (not ingested into the stomach like probiotics) so the bacteria stay in the mouth for a period before being swallowed and benefiting other organs/tissues. Do you think this is beneficial? I world love your advice as I can’t ask my dr!

What about Turmeric? I've been dealing with H. Pylori and my research continually pointed me to turmeric as one of the most effective treatments due to its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. I've also seen stress listed as a potential cause of H. Pylori gaining strength due to the mind-gut connection. Do you have any thoughts on that?
You want to get a high-quality sensitivity test before going too far with that - Alletess is the best one I've used by far and the only one I'd recommend. Many of us have sensitivities to so-called antiinflammatory foods simply because the body reacts in unnatural ways now that we are in unnatural ecosystems. I did turmeric for a long time and wondered why it wasn't helping since I eat very cleanly. Turns out I have a sensitivity to it and it's an inflamer for me.
It's a hair frustrating that humans are considered top of the chain when tiny bacteria have better survival mechanisms than we do. It's a darn shame that in our first world country that we, as individuals can't just go by a shot of B12 to administer ourselves. They do it with insulin. oh right.. that requires an insurance hijack of a doctor's visit recommendation to enrich the pharmaceutical industry even more.
@@iss8504 Because it’s more alkaline than the stomach acid, that’s why you get reactions from drinking too much of it if your stomach has already barely enough acid in it. I suggest you check the ph level of kombucha and compare it with the ph of a healthy stomach acid. ❤
@@iss8504 That's a symptom of removing toxins from the body, not of allergic reaction to kombucha, actually. Anyone sensitive can start with a tablespoon and work their way up. Histamine reaction to kombucha is extremely uncommon, but if you have it it is an indicator of a lot of old very established toxins finally mobilizing to move out, so it's a very important part of the process. It's of course also important not to drink more than 8oz since it's a caffeine source and most people drinking kombucha are self-medicating for adrenal disorders, which are exacerbated via caffeine.
Is there a difference between anemia and pernicious anemia? My 82 year old mother has some kind of anemia, so about a year ago they put her in the hospital for it to get a blood transfusion. Afterwords, she felt better. Now she’s starting to have the same symptoms again, weakness, shortness of breath, no energy and they’re talking about giving her more blood again? Why wouldn’t they give her iron or b12 or something? Although she does take a lot of vitamins. She also takes quite a few prescriptions including Nexium for heartburn which I know isn’t good. But she won’t listen to me about it. She got an ileostomy about 25 or 30 years ago. Unfortunately, she eats a lot of junk food and it seems like every time I turn around she’s on antibiotics for something. I’m very concerned about her. She believes everything the doctors tell her. I need real help for her. 😔
Thank you for this informative video on Anemia. Can you please make one video on ferritin levels in the blood? How is ferritin related to the stock of iron or hymoglobin? How to increase ferritin level to its natural required level? Mine is 15 - extremely low.
Yes! My Ferritin ranges from 4 to 8. My hemoglobin is on lower side of normal range. My B12 is fine. In fact all my bloodwork is normal except Ferritin??? I had hpylori and took antibiotics for 14 days and a lot of supplements to heal myself.
My ferritin also ranges from 4-8, and also have H-pylori and the doctor believes that the anemia is due to Hpylori as Dr. Berg explains in the video. And my last labs also are showing problems with hypothyroid, it seems like anemia can cause that also. So, I am kust looking forward to get rid oh Hpylory, fix anemia, fix my thyroi!
