the proper name for them in the game is Nomes

Welcome to the party! The story is not fully clear and there are a bunch of theorys. It isn’t supposed to be fully clear, but the second game does help a lot! If you want, I can give you some of the theorys, but it really is up to you to decide what you want to believe.

Spoilers for anyone who hasn't watched or played all the games! I'm not completely sure if this has been confirmed, but I think it's suggested or at least a theory that the kids are used to make food to feed the guests, or sometimes turned into gnomes (which could explain why they're trying to escape). The kid in the DLC ends up being turned into a gnome, the one that gets eaten by Six. Then the lady in the main game uses her powers to suck their life/soul/something from them to stay powerful/young/beautiful. The mirrors are probably smashed either because she doesn't like it when she isn't beautiful, or they're a weapon against her power. Six eating the lady at the end of Little Nightmares 1 could be her taking her power, which is why she's shown at the end of LN1 walking through the hallway with black stuff flying around her, as the guests are dying. I'm less sure about Little Nightmares 2, but Six is the girl that the main character (I think his name is Mono) helps and ends up being betrayed by near the end. When Mono gets betrayed by Six, he grows up to be the villain in LN2, to try and stop her from betraying him, and its pretty much a loop. He never catches Six, and she then ends up on the boat, where LN1 takes place. Again, I'm less sure about that, and this could just be a theory/something suggested in the games that most people believe. There's also Very Little Nightmares, which I think takes place before the other two games, so in chronological order, it's VLN, LN2, LN1.

It depends where you’re at but I’m on pst and she starts at like 8-9am and goes until 11:30ish.
