The HIGH EVOLUTIONARY Created MUTANTS to Stop the Celestials?

The High Evolutionary was right? The villain of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is easily the most evil baddie in the MCU...but WHY is he so hellbent on destruction and perfection? We think that he sees himself as a counter t the other great genocidal force in the universe--the Celestials. And to fight them, he created mutants in the MCU

#HighEvolutionary #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy3
I have been doing some deep thinking about the High Evolutionary, and I’ve had some realizations that make me view this villain in a whole new light. He still has a place in the MCU’s multiverse saga that involves mutants, celestials, and the multiverse saga. He might even be key in defeating Kang the Conqueror.
I also think that, despite being a genocidal megalomaniac with a god complex-he might have had the universe’s best interest at heart.
Doug: So was he right?
Ehhhh…no matter what it says in the thumbnail, this guy is pure evil. Probably the most evil villain we’ve ever seen in the MCU. On top of experimenting on animals and murdering Lyla, he kept children in cages and by his own admission, has committed genocide a number of times. So he was not right about all those things.
But I think that there’s more to the High Evolutionary than we thought. You have to look a little deeper and ask yourself why he’s doing the things. The movie made me wonder-why is he doing those things? What happened in his past that made him so obsessed with perfection. Ws star lord right when he says [mom didn't love him enough]. Or was he the victim of a great celestial tragedy?
I think we got a big hint about why he’s so obsessed with Earth-and if we’re right, this explains why he was left alive at the end of the movie-because, like rocket, he is part of a larger story that is being told.
Yo see, the high evolution is tied to two major components of the MCU going forward: mutants and the celestials.
Doug: But he’s dead.
Dude, 100%--the High Evolutionary survived his ship exploding. They make a point to spare him, and you don't waste a performance like Chuckwudi Iwuji on an offscreen death. So he is going to appear again. The question we should be asking ourselves is WHY the High Evolutionary was so hellbent on creating the perfect, peaceful race-for starters, why Earth?
The High Evolutionary not only visited Earth-but he liked it so much that he used it as a template to create a perfect society. Does that seem…weird to anyone else? Listen to what he says [your bigotry, ec]. He’s describing Earth like it’s kind of a shithole, isn’t he?
Now in the comics, he created a counter Earth for an obvious reason: he is from Earth-he’s a scientist named Herbert Wyndham.
Doug: Herbert?
Herbert.
Doug: I just can't imagine this guy being a herbert.
Probably why they changed his name. And, he was actually born in the 1800s-in the 1920s he did early genetics work with a scientist named Nathaniel Essex-the mutant Mr. Sinister in the comics. The High Evolutionary becomes obsessed with creating a perfectly evolved society on Earth-his home world. This is why he created a counter Earth, which sat on the exact opposite side of the sun.
Counter Earth was like a control experiment. The High Evolutionary was trying to create a utopia with a perfectly evolved race-so he could then replicate the experiment on his home planet. But in the movies, why replicate Earth? Why visit Earth to begin with?
First of all, I think it’s possible that he was on Earth a very long time ago. I think this guy is thousands of years old. He says that he’s destroyed his civilizations many times in the past. He learned how to master gravity, so I’m sure he figured out how to perform a few organ transplants and moisturize. After all, he would have to live for a long time to see his grand vision through to the end.
So this dude could have been on Earth for centuries. Meaning that his history with the marvel cinematic universe could go back even further than Thor. If that's the case, maybe he came to Earth when we were still living in caves. And maybe he started tinkering with humanity’s gees back then. He could even be responsible for the creation of mutants in the MCU-but more in that in a bit.

Yet the "villain" in the movie was killing the innocent…and you compared God to a villain. I am saddened. If you go all the way back to Agents of Shield (quasi-cannon-not-cannon) they go deep into the backstory of the Kree using humans as a potential ultimate warrior race and the genetic manipulations they were doing like x,xxx years ago. Someone had to be in charge of the splicing, but it wasn't technically the Kree nation, it was a splitner group or something. The High Evolutionary could have been in charge of that project, then decided to do it his own way when the kree-skrull war bored him, taking the earth template with him, but starting from scratch with the population. By doing the story this way, they could sort of bring AoS back into the greater MCU, since we've broken the multiverse wall. That would mean GhostRider, Agent Coulson, Hive and Quake - all these side-verse characters that have a developed backstory already would have footing in the bigger verse of phase whatever. There were so many plotlines that used the 'ancient kree' thread that it'd be stupid to do anything else.

I think the most plausible theory is the high evolutionary's involvement with Adam Warlock. He will be critical to bring out maximum power of Warlock who will probably be the biggest character in MCU. There is also the matter of the dark dimension which had direct mention in Guardians 2 and yet hasn't been explored. That will again connect with Fantastic 4 and the new Guardians will be central to the cosmic MCU

If he is connected to the Celestials, I think that would be a good thing as it creates connection across the movies. Not sure I care enough to understand his motivations at this point, though, I do think it would help to understand him better with more backstory. I think Rocket's line about not liking things the way they are is key. Perhaps, the way things are and their imperfection plays into his relationship with the Celestials? I forget, where they looking for perfection? Or they just looking for intelligence to birth more Celestials? Anywoo, always interesting to hear what theories you come up with.

Obviously Kang Dynasty will be mostly Kang Variants, but we’ll need something more then just random minions to go against all the multiversal heroes in Secret Wars. Some you can bring back to life, like maybe Thanos, Ultron can definitely come back. But they can’t make everyone come back to life via the magic of time and the multiverse, so I think it’s a good idea to start leaving some of these villains in the movies alive during the build up to Secret Wars.

It falls apart when you consider the fact that the high evolutionary really wanted rockets intelligence so that the people he created would be highly intelligent as well. This would mean even at a lower population rate. They would reach the intelligence level that the Celestials needed quicker, You're taking a population that has maybe 10 or 20%. Highly intelligent people and replacing it with an population that has 80, 90 or a 100% intelligence. That would speed up the Growth of the celestial

Loved your theological analysis in The Mandalorian. However, your analogy of the High Evolutionary and the G-d of the Israelites does not hold any water. The HE was performing experiments in a system he did not create nor control. G-d created the simulation, conditions and rules before He placed mankind in it and then proceeded to give mankind the Manual and Rulebook on how to succeed in the conditions. HE’s obsession with perfection is a physical one. G-d’s perfection is a spiritual one by turning the darkness of this physical world into light with our own free will. Also, lumping Christians and Jews together in that “hundreds of millions” is misleading as there are only 15 million Jews total in the world and many are non-practicing.

I have a theory that Adam Warlock also has Celestial genes, specifically, Peter Quill's genes. I think Ayesha was interested enough in Quills genes to get a sample from him when she met him. She witnessed the battle in Ego's core and the expansion occured on the Sovereign world, so she has all the pieces she would need to work out what Quill really is. When Quill absorbed the celestial light, he gained the powers of durability, strength, flight, functional immortality and energy manipulation, all eerily similar to the powers she was able to give to Adam, the only one adam doesnt have is matter manipulation, but maybe he just hasn't realised it yet. Remember, in the comics, he can form a cocoon around himself to heal. But you may ask whats powering these abilities if he doesnt have Ego, and I will point out that we never get an explanation of what the gem in his forehead does, and Ayesha had a mass of Ego's biomass to work with.

“Survival of the fittest” isn’t about who is strong or weak or who is powerful. It’s about who best fits into the given environment. A huge, powerful alien race could come to earth and wipe us out, but if they can’t breathe our atmosphere then they won’t last long here. Tiny little creatures who can breathe in our atmosphere would be much more likely to give rise to generation after generation of more tiny little creatures.

Hey love your videos but the God of Christianity is not a mercilessly, evil God intent on destroying imperfect beings. Rather he is a loving God who gives man chance after chance to change, those killed in the flood were given nearly a hundred and fifty years to change but didn’t. God is incredibly patient if he wasn’t earth would have been destroyed countless times by now.

I mean I have always believed in necessary evil. According to history found in the Bible even god commits necessary evil to some extent. Noah and his family were the only ones to survive. They were kids that died but the point was simply he saw what the world was going to become and offered fair warning. He didn’t ask them to be prefect just to try their best. When you think about it from that perspective and you are taking the role as a god witch all civilizations did, thats kinda what it is.

I feel like the entire issue with the MCU now is that the constant cosmic threat of the Celestials outweighs EVERY. SINGLE. struggle. Celestials are more powerful than gods and every other force in the universe. And...they don't operate in the realm of good or evil. They have been presented as a "natural occurring force." If you attempt to stop a natural force comma then you could be perceived as evil. This is why Thanos came off as an anti-hero in the end. Watch, Kang is gonna say that he created ONE TIMELINE to prevent celestials from being born. The Skrulls could come from a planet that was destroyed. Ultron was also CORRECT now. Smh 🤦🏾‍♂️ 🤬

Rocket spent the "Blip Years" using Earth as a headquarters for missions as he and Nebula worked with the remaining Avengers. Unbeknownst to him at the time, he was experiencing his native raccoon home planet and region (North America) for the first time since being abducted and cloned for experimentation. In the end, Peter and Rocket are the only two (genetic origin) Terrans on the Guardians team. The Earthlings. Rocket Raccoon's distant "home" is Earth. And when Rocket worked with Tony and Bruce to create the Infinity Gauntlet 2.0, he helped to save his home planet.

Brilliant video as always! 11:50 Due to taking scripture out of context and cherry-picking the Bible, this is what many don't understand about God in the old testament: The story of the Great Flood in Genesis is essentially a commentary on humanity's capability for wickedness. God saw the earth filled with violence and corruption - it had reached a point where moral and ethical degradation was beyond redemption. In this context, the flood can be interpreted as a divine reset, a way to start anew, preserving the best of creation - represented by Noah, his family, and the animals on the ark - and giving humanity a second chance. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah, also in Genesis, portrays these cities as emblematic of vice and inhospitality, rejection of justice and righteousness. The cities were destroyed because their inhabitants were deeply and irredeemably wicked. Again, there's a component of divine judgment and punishment for collective immorality. We all want justice and want criminals to be arrested/paid for their crimes, but when God punishes evil, then He is viewed as unloving or wrong for doing that. 🤔 When my 8-year-old does something wrong, she will be disciplined. Does it mean I'm hateful for telling her not to fight with other kids? Am I now a villain that needs to be stopped? No, but a loving parent who wants to teach their child the right way to behave. If I left her to run up and down the stairs, then that would be unloving of me to do that. Reasons why God punishes evil: Justice: The concept of justice is integral to Christianity. God is portrayed as a just God, meaning that He rewards good and punishes evil. This ensures a moral balance in the universe and shows that actions have consequences. Correction and Repentance: Punishment is also seen as a way for God to correct wrongdoers and lead them toward repentance. The goal isn't just to penalize, but to make the wrongdoer realize their error, turn away from their wickedness, and come back to a righteous path. Deterrence: Punishment can act as a deterrent to prevent others from committing similar acts of evil. The consequences of sin might discourage others from making the same mistakes. Sanctification and Spiritual Growth: In Christian belief, the trials and tribulations (which might be seen as forms of 'punishment') that individuals go through can help them grow spiritually. They're seen as opportunities to strengthen faith and to become more Christ-like in character. Demonstration of God's Holiness: God's holiness is His defining attribute. God's actions against sin, therefore, are a manifestation of His holiness. He cannot tolerate sin, because it opposes His very nature. It's important to note that while punishment is a theme in Christianity, so too are mercy, grace, and forgiveness. We believe that through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, humanity is offered forgiveness and salvation. So, while God punishes evil, He also provides a way for humans to be reconciled with Him.

I just want someone, anyone else, to see what I am seeing. Tech has it’s own laws in comics and the mcu. Those laws are tech is unique to it’s creator. Tony stark tech looks different than Riri’s. Pym tech is vastly different than the yellow jacket. Two different people can’t have identical tech unless made by the same guy and even then they must be different colors. Now on to the issue at hand, the high evolutionary and Kang the freaking conqueror use identical tech. Not just ascetically but functionally identical as well. This channel has said qm kang had “telekinesis” And have just said H.E. Has “gravity powers” Both of these characters have extremely long lives and both have gravity powers. This is due to their tech, their suits. And their suits are based on Kree technology. The technology we see in Captain Marvel, Kree don’t seem to age fast, and Yon-Rogg has the same “gravity” tech as both Kang and H.E.

Love it. But, how about we stick to the Celestials creating mutants. The X gene. And, the High Evolutionary is truly the wanna be God that is set on creating something "better" than the mutants. But, what he fails to realize is that his creations are limited by his own hand and therefore hinder from really living and evolving. Sumthin like that. We do need the Celestials back in action. They are amazing. I remember being awed when I first opened a comic book and saw them. I am not sure why Eternals is viewed in this underwhelming way. I loved the comic book movie it is. Anyway, Make Mine Marvel, and May Ryan continue to be successful with his videos.

The Celestrials tinkered with humanity to help fight the horde. Basically mutants and mutates were created to help balance creation and destruction in the Universe. Celestrials represent creation while the horde represent destruction. The Eternals protect humanity and the machine(Earth). Mutants are actually the descendants of The Deviants in the comics based on the reconns during judgement day arc.
