I don’t think the neighbours were too surprised to see the guy, who has a house with a retractable roof and a bunker in the backyard, riding a silly bicycle.

If everyone buys a highcycle, then they'd all be at the same height and therefore no longer 2 meters apart

The one thing I really like about Colin is he must've made some serious youtube bucks but he stays honest and still lives on the same housing estate and is polite and friendly to his neighbours. How many American youtube stars do you know like that?

When I started watching this, I thought "wait a second, wasn't there another guy who built an even taller one in the past?" - and of course that was also Colin...

I just have to take a moment to appreciate the brilliance of using a hole saw and a sliding guide to cut and angled curved cut at the end of a pipe. This is a man of many skills.

COOL BIKE. .....Back in the 1960's I built one, but only had an old welder, and an old torch. What I did was to take the front fork off and turn the bike upside down and put the front for back on, then cut the seat bracket off. Then turn the peddles around so I could put the back wheel and chain drive on the other side. Lucky the differential was a two speed rear end coaster break type (you changed gears by a short tap on the rear break) I then took pipe and added it to the fork tube, and the new seat post was added above the crack to form the seat post. I also added a short piece of pipe that the steering post ran threw and braced it to the seat post for rigidity. Now I had a high bike with the peddles about waist high, and me sitting about 6 feet off the ground! The longest distance I pulled a "wheelie" for took about an hour and covered 12 miles in Upper Michigan from the town of Chassell, Michigan to Houghton ,Michigan along U.S. 41 ........ It was easier to ride than a stock bike, and to pull a wheelie you just had to lean back a bit and up the wheel would come! And you could balance it there for hours at a time ridding on the rear wheel only.

That final clip explains why he seems so practiced at climbing on top of a 2 meter bike. Here I was the whole time wondering why it seems so easy.

I like how everyone thinks to stay six feet away from each other horizontally but this lad thinks vertically. Hats off to you mate, you’ve got a lot of skill and determination I can only dream about Edit: yes this actually wouldn’t do much vertically since droplets would fall, and that social distancing is on a horizontal basis

Hey Colin, I hope you hear this all the time, but each of your videos brightens my day. I sincerely enjoy each make, and i am quite jealous of some of your gear (that pipe cutting rig is great, blown away to see you hole saw through stainless without needing a new bit every half a cut or so though). You make me happy and inspire me to do something wild (safely of course). Thanks for adding levity to this corona mess. We all need a good giggle, cup of tea, and a tie on, throughout:)

There are always a fair few bikes like that at Burning Man. One year, I camped next to the High Bar, a pub where the counter is at least a couple of metres off the ground. They serve people on those bikes, and stilts.

You could add two really long legs so that when you stop you can push them onto the ground, preventing you from falling, and then when you move again they return to their original position.

You need the additional option: the hula-hup with 4 meters diameter for horizontal distance (maybe swivel for greater stability?). Also the side wind can`t drop you.

In Portland or, we have this public bike trail, and where it crosses the roads, there are walk signal buttons that are super high off the ground just for this type of bike

A cool update for this might be a long kickstand of some sort, to make it safer and even more usable.
