We're so excited that we get to start our own adventure next week. The grands are back in school and we're heading out to TN, KY, and LA for 3 months. We were going to do an AK-TX trip but changed our minds. Maybe next time. I just live all your advantures in CO. So beautiful. Keep me inspired😁

An absolutely inspirational video. I rather enjoyed the sunset. I liked how it followed the stunning panoramic scenes toward the end of the ascent, sort of a punctuation mark for the hike.

Hi Beverly, I always carry one quart of water and a water filter, a mini first aid kit, headlamp, folding water bowl for Roodle, some snacks, bear spray and camera gear. I try to leave room for layering down during the hot part of the day. 😎
@@oneadVANtureatatime I went to a beer party on top of eagle tower in peninsula park as a teenager when this drunken AH grabbed me by my ankles and hung me over the tower.. when my friends grabbed me, I kicked that guy down the tower one floor at a time.
My dog (now 10 years old) & I are flatlanders Was born in Corpus Christi Tx now live in SW Florida. My dream is seeing Grand Canyon /red wood & Sequoia trees and of course Colorado's mountains. Great job 👏 last time I tried (2018) I couldn’t get past 10,00 feet elevation and ended up sick for a couple days. It’s amazing how the elevation can mess with you. ~Jen
Great views, especially loved the Milky Way shots Carrie. I couldn't do a 12,000 ft hike today with my COPD, but there was a time years ago when I was in Colorado and the Estes Park area. Dave seems to be hiking more recentaly. Happy camping and happy hiking!

I'm thrilled you did this for me! It's beautiful, but I'd have to be sedated!! Beyond spectacular!! Colorado also has the highest suspension bridge at the Royal Gorge.. I was over the old one when I was a kid. Aren't marmots the best! We have them here in Washington too! So cute!! Isn't it amazing there's no trees or brush at that elevation?! Well done y'all!!
