Yes, and think just how much *MORE* damage mankind could inflict on our own planet, and on other worlds, if only we worked "collectively" as you suggest. Our species specialises in conscienceless, ruthless exploitation and destruction...and that, my friend, is what truly "sets us apart".

Communism or Fascism with a hyper focus on space travel would be interesting, but a lot of people would die in the name of sacrifice and the greater good in expanding the human species. I'll be betting my money on capitalism and asteroid mining to be the pinnacle of innovation, space travel, and the solar expanse. But that's just me.

I kinda cringed at the people that came up with it when that part was brought up at first. But now that I think about it, they had to come up with a name for those lines one way or another. Like it wasn't that they were tryina be fancy by calling lines "Lineae", they just had to call it something other than "Europa's Lines", to be more specific. While it's not AS creative as some might've wanted, I think it still serves the purpose well. So I guess that's just a fair side of it.

This is actually not surprising. Cartographers had the same problem when painting mountains and valleys on maps. No one who looked could make sense of which were which, and that’s because they actually look the same but opposite. They now agree on a universal sun direction, so you get used to see and know which is which on maps of earth, but there’s no solution to it in this case I suppose (unless you know the direction of the sun of course)

Love the videos! Did anyone happen to notice the pyramid shaped rock formation at 3 min and 12 seconds? I find it interesting and could be a reference to ancient formations found on earth or it could be nothing. I just found it unique.

So by the end of the 2020s, we could know whether there's life on other planets and satellites in our solar system. That's pretty cool.

Your videos are immensely peaceful, almost meditative. I come here when I'm looking for that incredible combination of soothing narration, heartbreakingly beautiful imagery, and a reminder that even our very own solar system is filled with mysteries and wonder beyond the strangeness of a dream, and that maybe, as a consequence, we could put our ephemeral Earthly troubles into a greater perspective, and breathe a sigh of relief in knowing that we are simply not so important. The only problem is that the perfect time to watch one of these videos is when I'm on the edge of sleep, and I often find that my eyes close and I miss all the beautiful visuals.

If I’m struggling with insomnia, I put an Astrum playlist on shuffle. Not cuz they’re boring, but because they’re peaceful/meditative, like you said.

Absolutely crazy to think, that its possible to see this world through average binoculars Sadly clouds have been constant here, even during Betlem star event

Even a cheap telescope with a good filter will allow you to see Jupiter, its cloud bands, and all 4 galileoian moons (you may see less than four if they are behind Jupiter from Earths perspective obviously)

It would be amazing if we could go there someday. Even if it doesn't have life, we would learn a lot about it and maybe a bit our own planet too.
