Vincent Price did his bits in a few days at CHCH. When he was done he got a cab and asked the cabbie where he could get beer. Cabbie took him to "Brewers Retail" and he bought a few cases of beer, took them back to CHCH and shared stories with the crew over stubbies.
I remembered watching this as a kid when I was just about a 7 yr old in Massachusetts when they’d broadcast it from Canada onto the PBS channel. Nostalgia is always great to experience when you’re 58 yr’s old though lol 😂 ❤Greetings from Boston a.k.a: Malden, Mass
This was my Saturday morning "go to" back in the day. (if we could point the antenna the right way) CHCH-TV (11) Hamilton 1971. It was a dark, weird monster theme, psychedelic and yet educational all at the same time. Sesame Street meets Monty Python, but for kids... Trimmed out is all the sugar-cereal ads, collect'em all, decoder-rings, and toys.
WTTG 5 in Washington DC showed this for a few months during summer 1976. I remember my little brother complaining that it wasn't scary at all. It looks as though it might have been produced in an attempt to capitalize on the popularity with kids of Scooby Doo, which debuted in 1969.
Hour long show. Episodes ran longer when originally aired (around 55?) but some segments had to be edited out of modern prints for, ironically, copyright reasons.
guessing old julius doesn't understand how tv works!! the rest of the show is made up of pretend stuff but he keeps talking directly to the cameraman who is filming him!!
