You were lucky to be able to get inside them. We have been inside a long barrow in England but with very short passages and no rock carvings.

It was very interesting. There are few places like this one in the Boyne Valley. Would loved to visit again one day.

I did not check here as there was too much rain about on our visit. Most of the rain did not show up on the video and we chose our times to film. I don't think we would have been allowed to take off on the land owned by Irish Heritage and the problem then becomes how to fly from furthe away down in the valley and keep to height and line of sight restrictions when the hill is high above you.

Yes it's a great place to visit. There are quite a few places of interest like this one around the Boyne Valley. We enjoyed this as it's still not too touristy you don't have to go on a guided tour and there were times when there was hardly anyone else up on the hill.
