@Thatcooltroll I feel like we actually got a real insight into Ezio's mind with the writing of the letters, and I enjoyed seeing him finally have something romantically go his way. I think all of the secondary characters were just as memorable as other games. The only reason one doesn't stand out as the "villain" like Ceasare was because there was no clear villain.
I hope the quality of the story-telling is as good as Revelations. For me, even though Revelations didn't seem much different from the previous games, the story seemed more sincere, coherent, and the characters seemed more real.
@Rivalhopeso The trees are something natural to climb, and they are something you actually climb in real life. Some could be really tall. And there were settlement. Think Red Dead. You'll also be able to hunt and sell skins, wear them, and eat.
@MrCyaniede If you play the LOST ARCHIVE-DLC of ACR you'll see that Lucy was in fact a sleeper agent sent to the Assassin's when she was a child and trained as one of them. When she was 17 she had the mission to "infiltrate" Abstergo as a scientist and became a double agent (in favour to the Templars). Years later, she had to help Clay (sub.16) get the"information" about the project Animus, but SHE WAS A TEMPLAR and so she let him to his fate.
The game is awesome besides Desmond. I have never understood why the series needed Desmond. It is far better without Desmond or the present-day, period. For now on, please ALL history, no computers, Animus or other nonsense.
I am really happy that the creative director of ac 3 is not alexandre amancio but Alex Hutchinson possessing a fresh talent. Revelations was awesome, but it had very less missions and Alexandre lacked the spark one should have to direct an ac game. I am also glad that corey may is back!!
ACIII really is an awesome game with a fascinating, well constructed storyline; however, as you pointed out, the game suffers from historical inconsistencies. While it may disappoint some historians (I have a BA in military history), I am willing to accept the faults to enjoy a game set in my favorite time period. That said, you are not the only one to notice the wrong Union Jack, or the incorrect stars and stripes, and even the flurry of poorly represented uniforms, but it is still a great game
@expressMP7 Actually, Alexander the Great was a templar who used the staff of eden to conquer most of south-west asia, but he was assassinated with poison by the assassin Iltani in June 323 BC.
Please Ubi, make an Assassin's Creed in Ancient Egypt (Africa), Feudal Japan (Asial), Russian Revolution and French Revolution! Pleaseee *-* Medieval Europe and II World War is cool too.
@@takeurpills6024 TRUE...I didn't even remember it ... thanks for reminding me, it brought me good old memories! I've played them all, waiting for the Vikings now and who knows the long-awaited Feudal Japan!
@TheRodg43 Befor Desmond got kidnaped, VIDIC told her that when the time came she had to help Desmond get out of Abstergo to make him trust her and locate Ezio's Apple of Eden. They found it in the coloseum (in ACB) and if it weren't for JUNO, Lucy would've left to Abstergo with the Apple!!!
The thing is that Altair thought obvious base would not serve assassins since it's easy to attack. Just think what happened to Villa Auditore and how many attacks Masyaf encountered ;)
and heres a couple of things that the producers of the game forgot about 1) the british never attacked the natives becuase of the proclamation of 1763 2) conner is part of the mohawk tribe and they fought with the british during the war so he is turing his back on his tribe not helping them
i have two questions:The first one would be whether the hookblade is going to make another apearence or not? Also i'm kinda wondering how they're goning to fit armour in the game.I mean,by that time period armour became almost obsolete
I was so worried they might sugar coat the story for Americans, but hearing this gives me so much hope that they will just do their own thing no matter who wants to someone to look good in history.
@greenmonkfish I dont know wheather to take this serious or not, you have some points but its not like ALL the people that helped make anything technological were templars, and its not like anything that was ever done good for society was by assassins. Idk, that guy below me got me thinking where the assassins fit in reality, and the way you explained it, made it seem like every invention ( cars, airplanes, tv, iphone) were templars O_o.
THE UNION JACK IS WRONG IN ASSASSIN'S CREED III. All this effort into historical research and they can't even get the British flag right: the flag in the game wasn't adopted until 1801, with the diagonal red stripes for Northern Ireland. Also what MADE ME CRINGE, is that during the battle of Bunker Hill in 1775 Connor raises the STARS AND STRIPES (not intorduced until 1777) on the British ship he captures in Boston Harbor. Meh, I bet no one else noticed.
@Dab3stxblasassassin I am already aware Darby is not developing AC3. And I have already read the books, I'm simply enraged how the fall of Masyaf felt as if it was nothing in the game.
i think it would be great to make a game whick takes place in ancient greece(ancient athens or sparta) or macedonia. i mean who would not want to fight alongside with Pericles or king Leonidas or even Great Alexander.to kill persians in the fights of Salamis, Plataea, Marathon, Thermopylae, or kill king Darius in Babylon. Just imangina that.............
@Blballerboy Assassin have done good and bad. Templars have done good and bad. You can't be too narrow minded to think it's a simple as Good vs. Evil. It's much more complicated and leaves the player to draw up their own conclusions and decided who is right and who is wrong. It's one thing I'll be glad to have made more prominent in the series; that there are no good guys or bad guys. Everyone has their own ideas of good and evil and they all fight for what they believe in. It's shades of grey.
@uberpwn3d21134 I agree the characters in Revelations seemed more real but I would argue that they're more forgettable. The only character I really remember is Yusuf Tazim and even then it wasn't like I felt a connection to the character, I just liked the way he said "hook blade" lol. It felt like they didn't have enough story to stretch over an entire game.
@Arcemz Who are the Assassins? Let me think ummmm alexander the great, abraham lincoln, malcolm x......... no but really, I dont think the people behind AC want you to look at every historicle figure and think they were either an assassin or a templar. And besides, its kinda obvious that the templars are more involved in polotics and the assassins are more underground in the shadows.
i BET dollars to donuts that they are going to reveal that someone from the future is living through Desmond as Desmond is with all these Assassins. I'am 100%sure
@Arcemz u mean u want them to pick actuall famous historical figures in society and say they were assassins, I just cant see it happening, the most theve done so far is to say well"he worked WITH the assassins" never that that he WAS an assassin.
@creamballman lol what cities? during that time in american history there wasn't anything like rome or even florence or anything like that. i think they are replacing cities for trees Dx that sucks
@uberpwn3d21134 well I think thats because everything that there is to know about the assassin's is already known. know to be fair we do learn more about the templars and how the operate pre-abstergo. seeing that the templars are more of an ideal rather then the group we see form later on.
@elliotquay lol it means diff thing 2 diff ppl 2 me it means dont believe every thing the government or any one tells you to be true its up 2 you 2 find the truth for ur self by doing what ever is necessarily 2 do so not specifically by killing ppl or any thing like in the game but by making your own way of life you dont have 2 follow the rules or restraints that other ppl put on you 2 live a truthful and righteous path we all deserve 2 know the truth and be 2 free and i will get it by any means
@XXXCreati0nXXX For fuck sake Templars are not bad. Nor are they good. The Assassins are neither good nor bad. Both sides want peace, but they have different means of achieving it. The Templars have done good and bad things. The Assassins have also done good and bad things. It's not as simple as Good vs. Evil, Black and White, it's all shades of grey.
