I remember this documentary and the narrator on the same documentary about Halloween. As a matter of fact, some of the music is from The Nutcracker. But I think the people of this documentary should know that there's 5 movies to deal with Christmas. And the 5 movies are 1. The Santa Clause, 2. Mickey's Christmas Carol, 3. The Muppets Christmas Carol, 4. Home Alone, and 5. Fantasia( for Phil Crowley this movie has A night on Bald Mountain and for Christmas the Nutcracker Suite).
Don’t forget that those of us who live in the southern hemisphere celebrate Christmas in summer. The commercial take over of Christmas means that we have Christmas cards here with snow and winter scenes. It’s ridiculous to think that Christmas is all about warm cozy fires and hot Christmas dinners. We have bbq and picnic lunches on Christmas Day. We go to the beach. We swelter in the heat in places where the coast is far away. Jingle bells is a song that talks about sleigh riding. Most of the kids who live here have never seen snow. So again this documentary is about those who live in the northern hemisphere and where most of the holiday money is spent. I wish Christmas was celebrated as a Christian festival and not all this other rubbish.

Solstice is the shortest day of the year Dec 21 and Dec 22 is the celebration of the return of the Sun (longer days return) ,re-birth of the Sun.

Satan took advantage of Christmas did he not? He'd come as an angel of light. Religious Christmas vs. Commercial Christmas. The latter is kind of a stress inducing, money dependent thing, where the Christmas from faith is happy and joyous.
I'm sure everyone who lived back then would have appreciated inventions such as nappies and baby wipes! Would have made the babies smell better that's for sure.
