The video shows the timelapse of alcohol consumption by country from 2000 to 2020. Total alcohol per capita consumption is defined as the total (sum of recorded and unrecorded alcohol) amount of alcohol consumed per person (15 years of age or older) over a calendar year, in liters of pure alcohol, adjusted for tourist consumption.

Russians drank 8 liters of alcohol per person in 2021, and the average adult Russian aged 18 and over drank 10 liters of alcohol. This is quite a lot like 200 liters of beer (200*0.05=10). In 2018 11,2 liters, in 2020 10,5 liters.

И ещё прошу заметить, что примерно с середины нулевых тенденция идёт к снижению, потому что акцизы дорожают, а значит алкоголь становится менее доступным.

In the Netherlands, alcohol consumption is falling sharply. Since 2010, sales of non-alcoholic beer have increased by 500%. 14% of the beer that is currently drunk is alcohol-free.

in Russia young people drink very little, so what you see is generational change, it's people above 40 who still keep the number up. It's more difficult to get rid of smoking, especially if you consider vape similar to smoking.
