I remembered watching some of Hanna Berbera series like Wacky Races,The Peril of Penwelope Pitstop, Dastardly & Muttley in Their Flying Machines, Fender Bender 500, Yogi's Treasure Hunt and Wacky Race reboot 2017. I do wished that Hanna Berbera have finally release Fender Bender 500, Yogi's Treasure Hunt and Wacky Race reboot 2017 in complete DVD collection at last.

I remember Yogi's Treasure Hunt back in the 90's when I was a kid and I love this show. I really wished that the series is final release on complete DVD at last like the other Hanna Berbera series like Wacky Races, The Peril of Penelope Pitstop and Dick Dastary and Muttley in their Flying Machine. Because they have lots of old Yogi's Treasure Hunt video and I think the series deserve to on DVD at last.

I grew up on watching all the Reruns and new shows from them. I remember every Sunday morning watching a lot of their cartoons on the Cartoon Express on USA. I was a huge Yogi Bear fan. Also thank you for these episodes. I love things like this.

Man it's crazy how many things I have seen put in this documentary, I knew they had a big impact on my childhood, even I didn't think it was that big. Nuts how it ends as a company too, wasn't with a bang or a wimper. Their last shows were great and are still referenced by average people to this day. I'm curious the future of this new H-B. An enjoyable ride to be sure I also remember that Flintstones movie, I was kinda young when I watched it, it's the reason I like John Goodman when I was young and didn't know much about films. It's crazy a movie like that got such a huge budget, from a show that, while syndicated, was really old. For reference that's more than most of the Friday the 13th movies combined. Seeing it again, the sets were pretty good and had an all star cast. Seems like it paid off though
@thecartooncurator
@thecartooncurator 2 года назад
first of, thank you for enjoying it. second, i felt that the entire story of them as a studio had to be told and a part of their lagcy is the cartoons,(even the obscure ones) The Flintstones movie is highly unnderrated. It cpatured the feel of the cartoon entirely. No other movie of its sort has ever done that to a capacity like this movie did. As for the new HB, hopefully something great comes out of it to uphold their legacy. Despite that, Warner Bros. have done a good job with Scooby Doo at least. He's always remained visible, no matter the quality of the indvidual cartoons/movies. their last shows were great as well. they ushered in a new generation that are possibly the most highly regarded today. especially Tartakovsky and McCracken.

thank you, Christopher. I love Hanna Barbera and animation in general. I felt their story and history should be preserved for the future generations ahead. as you seen in the episodes, they were a part of a time that has long become extinct. we will never see a time like we did growing up during that era.

Gennady Tartakovsky created Dexter's Laboratory in 1996 but would also create Star Wars Old Clone Wars in 2003 luckily revived in 2008 as Star Wars New Clone Wars.

You forgot The New Adventures of Captain Planet, which H-B produced also in 1993 (but retained the opening animation from DiC).
@thecartooncurator
@thecartooncurator 11 месяцев назад
that is correct. there were a lot of Hanna Barbera cartoons in their catalog. I want to touch on the notable ones as much as possible. going through their entire catalog would have lengthened the entire episode by 30 minutes or more. at some point, i would like to do a redux of these episodes in the future. thank you so much for watching

@@thecartooncurator And there was also the 1993 TV movie “I Yabba-Dabba-Doo!”, which saw Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm getting married. In the ‘70s, H-B brought us Wait Till Your Father Gets Home in syndication, the feature film adaptation of Charlotte’s Web (with Paramount), and their first live-action film C.H.O.M.P.S (about a dog).

@thecartooncurator
@thecartooncurator Год назад
A Pup Named Scooby-Doo was more of a light reboot/reimagning than anything related to the original cartoons. It was definitely more of a parody of Scooby-Doo itself. this was in part of Tom Ruegger, who would later work on Tiny Toon Adventures

4:42. The Muppets Take What?!? I can't figure out what you'e saying there. I know the film is the "Muppets take Manhattan" but you clearly don't say Manhattan. According to the closed captioning you say "Muppets taking head." Ummm... so what's going on there?
@thecartooncurator
@thecartooncurator Год назад
I just watched it and I did say Manhattan. Mostly likely my accent and soft spokeness that you couldn't hear it clearly but I said it. But you are right. it did say head in the closed captions. CC's are mostly inaccurate in a lot of cases when it comes to spoken dialogue. it will read inaccurately due to the pronunciation algorithm in the program
