It's way past cool how moves like these have grown with time....and I really appreciate the Final Fantasy tracks used in this video, like *"Balamb Garden"* from *1999's Final Fantasy VIII* at 3:03 for *Dark Resurrection,* and *"Let The Battles Begin!"/"Fighting"* from *1997's Final Fantasy VII* for *Tekken 7.*
If you want to be technical, it technically started in Tekken 2, not in Tekken Tag Tournament 1. Let me explain. So In Tekken 2, Kazuya didn't really have his df2 (abolishing fist) yet, BUT he did get his iconic while standing 2 (demon god fist). Now, if you managed to hit demon god fist with a clean hit, it also had standing frames during the stun just like df2 in later games, which means that you could actually get a full launch after ws2 by landing a perfectly timed wind god fist (there was no such thing as electrics in 1 and 2 yet until 3) and then get a big combo. While the execution of the famous df2 into PEWGF combo is not the same, the function of the combo is still the same. Not to mention you can get a lot of damage from it especially on counter hit. We are talking like 80%-100% death combo. Again, I know that it's not the same as df2 PEWGF, but I feel like Tekken 2 and Demon God Fist (ws2) should have at least gotten an honorable mention, because it at least works similarly to df2 into pewgf.
It's kinda unfair that RU-vid mark some your video's repetitive content there are a lot of meme channels out there or copying Mr.beast doing copy paste stuff
