That was a wonderful explanation of these concepts. I love to see how in some of the paintings the vanishing point is also the most important element in the painting. I would love to learn more about this in the future.

Yes, in some of those works it is intuitively clear what the center of the painting is (like Jesus in The Last Supper and the temple in Delivery of the Keys), but it's indeed intriguing to notice that they are also the geometric center of the painting (at least according to the laws of perspective).

The video was very informative... I actually like your video essays But......The strangest thing that caught my attention was the painting shown at 8:44 . It's really mind bending.. Could you make a video on that one???

Thanks. The artwork you referring to is called The Importance of Knowing Perspective - Satire on False Perspective (1753) by William Hogarth. It's a funny work that violates a lot of the rules of linear perspective.

遠近法や構図のことが少し解りました。ラファエルの師ペルジーノの絵画は、緻密で、解りやすかったです。絵画としてはラファエルの方が評価が高いようですね。

Hi, thanks for this. Please explain, vanishing point. Tia

When linear perspective is applied correctly, the vanishing point is the point of convergence, which is on the horizon line, where the parallel lines of the object come together. It's easiest to see it by drawing the parallel lines, like in this video (and there are many other great examples online).
