I 100% believe that this is just the story that Charlie was told, not the actual story of what happened. That later I think we may get someone like an angel or maybe even luifcer himself, sitting Charlie down and finally telling her the real story.
The fact it was all in a book that she reads whenever stressed is a big giveaway tbh. Doesn’t help that the only angels she’s ever interacted with are assholes
That's what I believe too. But it would be interesting if the angel's version wasn't 100% accurate either, and it's up to Charlie to take both versions and piece them together the best she can to figure out what really happened.
Thank god I’m not the only one who’s bull-crap detector went off when this story was being read, I feel like/hope that this Story of Hell was just a different version written by Lucifer or Lilith, now I’m sure there is some truth in it, but I do hope it turns out that this story was just one side that was told to Charlie when she was younger, (now the inner pessimist in me is saying that this the full story and there is nothing more to it, but the optimist in me is saying that there is more to the story than what was said/written, maybe Lucifer isn’t entirely the tragic hero he made out to be, etc, etc) also I find it weird that God wasn’t mentioned in the story either Lucifer didn’t want speak of God to Charlie or this Hellaverse is taking a Non-theistic approach (while that kinda would be ok that way it wouldn’t be too controversial by bringing God into the mix but at the same time, I really do hope that God is in the Hellaverse) also this did confirm that Charlie is a Nephilim (half angel, half human) so heck yes!!)
Same this is exactly how modern pricks try to do away from responsibility. They cry victim and that means ofc they can be evil pricks. Also good is bad! Its getting really old every dam story is. Responsibility/good is bad u know? And these cry babies are actually victims and good and misunderstood! Nah m8 im done. I dont mind the idea god is ghone/sleeping whatever and the more arrogant elites sneakly took over but generally heaven is a good place. But this story just typical ( imo) modern bs writing. Boring
Is it just me or does lilith’s secret trading card look a LOT like the cutout of eve when she has a grin while holding the Apple? The throne she’s sitting upon also looks somewhat angelic. Not even angelic, but it doesn’t look demonic in any way like lucifer’s throne
@@ryanlozano9086 maybe something like that, or eve is really the real villain in some way, not sure yet, but it’s going to be really interesting, especially when you factor in the fact that Lilith AND alastor have been gone for the same amount of time.
I have a HAZBIN HYPOTHESIS! We know that both Lilith and Alastor haven’t been in the picture to much for 7 years, so I think that Alastor is working for Lilith in some way or another. In the Temptation poster with Lilith in it, we can see a hand around her waist similar to Alastor’s, so I think that they are gonna be connected in some way or another.
That is a cool theory. And recall Alastor was just introduced immediately after Charlie called her mother. That could be foreshadowing or a coincidence.
@@ahmediqbal6974no only on prime. To have to manage 2 projects at once and having difficulty monetising off of them isn’t the smartest idea. Helluva will be continued on RU-vid though.
I am really hyped for the show to come out. Personally lucifer's story (especially the war in heaven) and his relationship with the other Arcangels (especially Michael), since lucifer is said to be goofy and cheerful I imagine Michael to contrast by being all serious and stoic, if the war heaven is going to be taken seriously lucifer VS Michael is going to be legendary. Really hope to see Jesus even if it's just a cameo
Viv has stated that she doesn't feel comfortable adding figures such as Jesus or the big G himself, yk to avoid controversy since she already has alot of it.
You know what i find interesting is that evil actually existed before lucifer and lilith and before hell was even a thing and i think in other seasons we might learn or see the evil beings that heaven tried to lock away
It’s nice to know Lucifer and Lilith’s origin story through the same animation as in the pilot. I wonder if the other deadly sins got banned from heaven or was already exist in hell.
I'm curious too. In Helluva Boss, Asmodeus says he's known Mammon since the start of hell, so my working theory is that when Lucifer accidentally introduced evil into the world, the sins were "created" or awakened. Maybe they always existed in some capacity, but allowing the world to have evil sparked them being active.
@@crazedauthor98 true. I don’t read much of the Bible either, I just assumed that the seven sins were casted out of heaven and hell was born or hell already existed and those guys were the first denizens of hell when they got banished.
I'm so excited to see more of Lucifers character. He doesn't seem to be the worst person, just a guy who had dreams, but wasn't able to fullfill them and got punished for that. With being a passionate dreamer, he has a lot of similarities to Charlie. I also want to see more of him and Lilith bein cheesy lovers. But Lilith disappeared 7 years ago and so did Alastor. I strenge connection...
Yeah but it’s important to remember that Lucifer even when he portrayed in a more positive light is still a massive manipulative pathological liar so it wouldn’t be shocking if most of this story is a lied
If you look at Eve in the opening sequence, we see that she’s sitting ALONE under the Tree of Knowledge. Now, husbands and wives don’t have to be around each other 24/7, but given what we know of Adam, it’s unlikely she was very happy with him. So she ran off somewhere to have some time for herself, solemnly. What if… Lucifer and Lilith, never actually planned anything in particular for humanity during the whole Garden of Eden episode, good OR bad? What if they saw Eve, sitting lonely and sad under an apple tree, and simply wanted to cheer her up? What if none of them actually knew the fruit was the Fruit of Knowledge? And what if, after things got worse and Adam and Eve were banished to the rest of Earth and Luci and Lilith to Hell, SOMETHING happened to Eve, and they modified their story for their daughter because, an honest mistake is still a mistake? Good parents always want to inspire their children, after all.
In the bible (i think) it says that eve and Adam split up to work on the garden faster, thats why eve was alone (ofc maybe i might be wrong) I think the story Charlie read is not what actually happened or at least not 100% accurate
One quick note: Samael was not the leader of the 20 Watchers who copulated with human females and taught mankind knowledge that was forbidden. The leaders were Samyaza and Azazel. Azazel is also said to be the true King/Prince of Wrath, since Satan and Lucifer are usually one in the same in Christianity, and in Judaism, Satan is more of a generic force of evil than an actual entity, as you stated. Great video as always, btw. I cannot wait for the rest of the series.
@dompedroii4366 I am talking about Azazel being the demon of Wrath instead of Satan. I am not saying that Satan, which is not even a name, does not exist in judaism.
@dompedroii4366 No. Lucifer is not even the Devil's actual name, that was just a misconception from the book of Isaiah. The book calls Lucifer to the king of babylon, but it was assossiated with Satan. Regardless of the devil or his name, this comment is about Azazel and the Watchers. So stop bringing Satan up because it really has nothing to do with what the comment is about.
You also have to consider that the story is a lie. If that’s so then Lilith is probably the liar. She would probably be vain because one big aspect of pride is vanity and vainglory. Vainglory is when you basically lie about accomplishments like becoming a doctor or something.
Well, considering in the original tell Lilth was so vain she wanted to be above Adam, so she was casted away, I wouldnt be surprised if in this version she was so bitter she falsified the entire thing just so her daughter would hate her ex too😂
already 100% certain that something in this story isn't telling the whole truth or that something else is going on. As they claimed in the Opening that they slaughter demons so they can't rise up and over throw heaven. But then Charlie and everyone else think its due to overpopulation. Maybe its not some big twist but i feel like if they were going to go with "Surprise! were killing you all for reasons you didn't even think about" then it would of been more interesting if they didn't drop that line. Plus Lilith is for sure evil as hell.
I'm not sure, haha, I think that perhaps Viv will try to avoid controversy by getting involved with VERY important figures for the Christian faith, although he already introduced Adam, but well, I think Elders is just a designation for beings in positions of power.
Anyone else thinking about Althea fact that Alastor was away from Mia for the same amount of time that lilith has. I feel like alastor has something to do with it or it's connected in a way...
I wonder if Vivzie ever read Dante's Divine Comedy since it's pretty obviously it included a lot of Christian lore too. Like in Paradiso they do talk about the Angel classes.
The Hazbinverse seems to have taken influence from Dante’s work. Aside from the 9 Circles being confirmed as existing in the Pride Ring, we’ve gotten some subtler references here and there - like the eternal storm raging in the Lust Ring and Asmodeus being regarded as the least corrupt member of the Deadly Sins. We also got a brief glimpse of possibly the 9th Circle with Andrealphus’ ice palace, and the extremely rare occurrences of Hellquakes might be a reference to the great earthquake that occurred after Christ’s death in the novel.
I need to know what's so significant about 7 years ago !!! XD Charlie and Alastor both brought 7 years up... GUH! Also wth do you go if you leave hell?!?!?!
It's weird that Eve looks a lot like Lilith’s trading card? And Lilith has not been in touch with her daughter in 7 years. The question is, does she remain in contact with Luci or has she gone completely silent? I know ppl are saying perhaps Lilith and Alastor are related in some capacity given they disappeared 7 years ago- but I honestly really hate this 😅 I feel like Al would just be unnecessarily shoved in with the Morningstar family storyline when that is something really that should be focused on with the Morningstar trio… Charlie is the main character, Al being part of such a major storyline but Charlie being left in the dark about it just rubs me in the wrong way tbh, like I know Al is popular but he isn't the main character, he shouldn’t have any involvement personally with the angels and charlie’s family imo.
It could still be the other way around, and he turns out villainous. Wherever he and Lillith spent the last 7 years, he might just take advantage of the fact that Lilith is not going to be around for some time, which is why he came back to mess with the rest of the Morningstars. I personally don't believe in this theory, but if I've learned anything so far after only 2 episodes, there's A LOT of stuff I didn't expect to happen!
I’m so excited to see Lilith and Lucifer in the show and how each will react to the hotel.😊❤❤❤ It’d be interesting if part of the reason they had it animated like a storybook at the beginning is similar to what “Steven Universe” did when Garnet was telling the story of Rose Quartz, which wasn’t really the truth.🤔 I know they had that animation in the beginning of the pilot, but it would just be cool foreshadowing if that’s the case.😉
one thing that I've been thinking about since the first two episodes is the albeit minor correlation between Alastor and Lillith i don't believe it to be Mear circumstance that Charlie hasn't heard from her mother in 7 years and Alastor has been gone for 7 years Aswell. my thinking is perhaps Alastor is working for Lillith in some way maybe Lillith either A. believes in Charlies plan and sent Alastor to "help" or B. She doesn't believe Charlie's plan will work and sent Alastor to attempt to show her that it won't.
Ok so the first 4 episodes will be available on prime on the 19 th Nether next 2 will be available on the 26th And the last 2 episodes will be available on the 2nd February
As in a previous comment I love how this show highlights how dangerous a black and white worldviews are as because the angels are born in a place that is supposed to be good means that they are automatically good and can do no wrong as we see in the show Adam is show to be a total duche but because he’s in heaven he acts like he’s automatically good which he can use to justify there actions and it shows how dangerous the idea of both heaven or hell can be damaging in the wrong context.
love the first two episodes, i can't fucking wait till the next two come out!!!! also my pre order merch arrived today. sad id idn't get the ultimate bundle.
If you didn't know (but I have a feeling you do) it was said that there are actually more than one heaven, and it's depiction is actually a little similar to helluva boss seven rings of of hell, but instead of it being paradise it's actually works more like hell, for example one of the heavens is actually a place where monsters and others other worldly creatures are actually locked up and sealed away, while another heaven is actually another place where some of the angels that rebel against god were sealed away as well, I don't really know if what I'm saying is the right thing but I think it's close enough and I also forgot which book it was but it was written somewhere I hope this information helps, and I'd really be happy if they implemented it on the show, and it would really paint heaven a different way
1 question that came to mind is how does the extermination work? Is it like the purge (whoever the angels can get to) , or are the demons killed at random?
@chilliicecream5456 Yeah, they can't kill hellborn, but the question still stands are the sinners killed at random or whoever can't survive during the extermination.
Still, kinda don't make since that Sinners are the cause of overpopulation if they are only confined in one ring. Especially when scores of hellborns are killed on a daily basis.@@soranora4597
Man if there's going to be some good ones what about Abel and Cane I hope they're going to make a appearance of Cane fastest scenario for vampires the Masquerade lore if they're going to have vampires in the show and also there's mentions of vampires in the Bible I think it's in the Book of Enoch
While overall I loved both episodes. The misogynistic rout they take with Adam and Lucifer was odd. Making Adam a controlling douche and Lucifer immediately giving up and abandoning hell. While Lilith takes over everything. All of Lucifer's aspects from the pilot. That part felt like it was written by someone who doesn't like men
Well, or simply it was made to be off putting. As in, for you to feel something is wrong. Maybe the story of how Lillith and Lucifer met is a lie and it happended entirely different......because well, he is tbe father of lies😅
Or probably to avoid a being declaring homosexuality is a sin, thus avoiding the whole people are not in Hell because the were gay, just terrible people. but idk @@Bookshelf_Dragons
Honestly , i dont buy this story , its like the saying " everyone is the hero of THEIR own story " and " the DEVIL always comes with GOOD intentions " , not to mention lucifer is perceived in christianity as the " father of LIES", i mean , the rebbelion of lucifer against god and heaven wasnt mentioned even ONCE , and thats a crucial part of lucifer's story in biblical lore , that was the reaspn he was banished to hell , tricking eve into eating the fruit wasnt the main reason , not to mention that thr hazbin trading cardd shows us a bit of the lore and what could happen , in lilith's card , she has a sinister expression , and she is doing a shhhhh sign , so there is definetly more to this story and charlie isnt immune to her parents lies , i also hope that other important biblical figures like god , Michael or gabriel appear , many people tend to forget charlie is god's GRANDDAUGHTER .
The number seven has meaning in Biblical lore such as the seven days of creation, the seven sins, the seven year tribulation. The number 7 appears 700 times in the bible itself. The number seven in numerology does mean "completeness" and "perfection". However the number seven can also connect to the number 6. Because in the creation story it takes 6 days for Adam (and Lilith) to be created and then on the 7th day there is rest. In the story of Joseph he is sentanced to prison under the false accusation of SA. In prison he meets two prisoners a vassal and a baker. Both of them tell him of a dream they had. So Joseph interperates that the two men would be prisoners for only 6 days more. On the 7th day, the fates of these two men would be sealed-one gains his freedom, the other is put to death. And the tribulation you have 7 angels who blow their trumpets bringing about disaster, pain, and suffering for 7 years. The first 6 bring forth distruction, suffering, even death upon the world, but the 7th one brings salvation.. 7 seems to be significant in Hazbin Hotel as well. As Lilith has been MIA for the past 7 years, Alastor also has returned after being radio silent for 7 years. And if you tally up the main cast: Charlie, Vaggie, Angel, Alastor, Niffty, Husk, and now Sir Pentious there are 7 people living at the hotel.
Can you make a vídeo about how the this story says that the forbidden Fruit created hell, that heaven was battaling evil before hell existed and also implied God doesn't exist in Hazbin and that the Elder angels run heaven and created Earth?
I find the fairytale story of Lucifer and the beginning of Hell as BS, something is fishy with that story. Their are truths but I feel it underlies harsh truths towards Charlie’s family which could break her trust towards both her mom and dad
@@Featheryfaith7No, you're not and you haven't shown me PROOF of it, you just run away when I ask for your Discord to check it. You don't have children with Angel Dust either

I’m pretty sure Lilith is in the Torah. Made from the same dirt as Adam and is cast out because she asked why she must be subservient when they are made the same. She then becomes Lucifer’s wife and the mother of monsters. Basically, Hazbin Hotel has mildly modified the story in Jewish folklore.
Its a very subtle hint, but is still there in the Christian Old Testament, where there are two seemingly contradictory stories of the creation of humanity; one in which man and woman are created together, and one in which Adam is created first.
It seems that God does not exist in this universe, and instead a council of the highest angels created the universe, Earth, and humanity. Vivzie probably did that to avoid storytelling limitations that might arise from portraying any version of a monotheistic God, even with any artistic liberties that could be made.
One big thing that is being glanced over is what FORBIDDEN knowledge is. I see everyone talk about the forbidden knowledge, but here is the biggest thing. THE FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE WAS ***WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS WRONG***. It wasn't gifting humans free will (in certain sects and religion it is). The most common is the knowledge of good and evil and how they exist). But when they partake of the food, they then try to cover their bodies realizing being naked is bad. And God specifically asks why they are hiding their bodies, this is how he knows they ate from the tree. Pretty much humanity learned the differences between right and wrong. What is good and evil. But we are punished for intentionally choosing evil, because we should know due to the fruit.
But this begs the question: what about God? There was no mention of it and instead of God being the creator of humanity it depicted Angels as humanity's creator. And this story was told by Lucifer and Lilith so I very doubt it is all accurate.
@armoroftruth3166 they could just not include him or make very little use of him. since they would have to turn down one of gods aspects, them being: god being all powerful. god being all knowing. god being all good. or do the classic "god left heaven and no one knows where he went."
but Lilith does show up in the bible as Adam's first wife, made from the same dirt Adam was made.... granted you need to hunt down a really old edition of the bible (a library would be the best option to try that) to see her be named but even my brother noticed on the bible we have at home that for some odd reason the story of creation showed up twice. One in which man and woman were created equal and one where man was the original creation and woman was created from man.
I like that although it takes the idea of "the Devil is not evil", does not directly disrespect the religion of many people, Well yes it does, haha, but at least it doesn't present (for the moment) the direct figure of God as if he were a weird tyrant or something like that, instead it presents this "Heaven" that is not really a Heaven since it is not a pure place of light and love, being led by a kind of oligarchy of non-divine beings. Now, one thing I would really like is if they didn't do the "good demons/bad angels" thing, Although in the Christian tradition angels only have positive aspects and demons are angels who discarded those positive aspects in pursuit of their own will, I would like them in the Hellverse to be like humans, that we have both good and bad characteristics.
the story in the begining about Lucifer and Lilith seems a little sus to me. to much like Lucifer did nothing wrong and heaven punished him. I think its more like both sides were in the wrong and we will find out what Lucifer did throught the series, maybe it has something to do with where Eve is? we see Adam but Eve is only mentioned in the story and it doesn't seem like she and Adam are together anymore what with him mentioning different people that he has banged.
I don't blame Lilith for ending it with Adam. He's so obnoxious and misogynistic that it really makes you wonder how someone like him got into Heaven. 😇❓
I think God is more of an Urban Legend in the Hazbin/Helluva universe or he simply doesn’t involve himself anymore as it seems he has left all the work to the angels and Lucifer.
@@kewlo3057 So there is a theory that the reason why the Lilith myth exists is to explain inconsistencies with the text of Genesis IE most biblical scholars can see it three different creations stories combined together and there is a text that said man and woman were created and then in a latter part Eve was created from Adam’s rib
@@gadaadyn8190Well you must keep in mind Lilith does exist in some versions of the Bible, you have to remember the book has been changed many times over the years, so it all depends on which Bible you follow.
