once I arrived in Canada one of the thing that made me wonder was the bottle of a beautiful whiskey next to baby formula food section , took a look closer found out its the famous maple syrup grabbed one and then some maple tea, all I can say it is a hidden magical Gem, not sure how my body figure out its maple and give me more energy versus when i take white sugar, the taste is amazing , and the energy and well being feeling afterward , I love maple syrup !!!!! and I would never put sugar on anything I eat

Yes a simple life simply produce to make maple syrup you probably would we need a thermometer, and to make maple sugar well you could just let it go till it's evaporated simple , same said with collection. Simple. I'm sure the natives didn't have drill bits and put up 500 taps and run it through a reverse osmosis system. and did not throw a tomahawk at a tree or put a big hole in it and try to funnel sap into a bucket on a rainy day lol. It was simple and IAM pretty sure I know how

this history seems to fly in the face of what a lot of indigenous peoples know and share about the history of maple syrup and sugar. this is very french centric, which is a very limited view.

I don’t think indigenous people could have maple syrup, it requires a lot of heat for a long period of time, iron cooking pots where only introduced to them when the French arrived.

What is he talking about? Maple syrup was produced in mass quanties long before the 20th century. Preservation? Maple Syrup has a high sugar content which would have easily made it to store during indigenous times. This video is just full of false information regarding the histoty of maple syrup harvesting. It was only sold by the gallon until the mid 20th century? What!? Utter nonsense. This viseo makes it seem like the french settlers of Canada performed some magic upon arrival to North America. This video is hilariously unfactual.
