Love the video and info shared... I'm just saddened that Zimbabwe still hasn't developed much at all and still live off Rhodesian infrastructure. Currently live in a run down Rhodesia

Leanrt some v interesting information watching this video and this is from someone who had lived in Umtali (Mutare) for the first 7 years of his life. ZimTechGuy, this is only the second video I have watched of yours but the work, research and effort is outstanding (if only I was this good!): many thanks, well done and keep up the high standard.

Mutare has the potential to become a TV and Television heaven. A lot of investment is needed. State-of-art production studios and we are ready.

@@ZimTechGuy it just has the scenery. It's the center of Manicaland political and socioeconomic might. The nature is some of the best in the world. And it's far away from the big Bulawayo and Harare. It has the potential to become our own Hollywood. What with the abundance of hills lol
@southernafricanboy4148
@southernafricanboy4148 Год назад
Amen. It's got the scenery with a city vibe and small town feel.

One fun fact. When Major Forbes fought and defeated the Portuguese to take Manicaland and Mutare from the Portuguese he started chasing he retreating Portuguese till he got to where Forbes border post is today. He didn't want to proceed without authority so he sent a message to Rhodes. Rhodes had been drinking and didnt see the message untill next day as he was hungover. Had Rhodes seen and responded Major Forbes intended to chase the Portuguese right until the port of city of Beira. Beira would have been Rhodesia and Zimbabwe to this day True story. You can check this independently

Wrong my friend. The English did chase the Portuguese but had to turn back because they knew they would be unable to defeat them. One thing is a small battle, another thing is invading and taking over a country. Many tried, besides the British, Dutch, French, Omanís, etc. They all afiles.
@TimSerras

They all failed.

@@h.m.5724 Manyika is a language. As our constitution states. That's if you know what a constitution is. It was always a language. We had our own kingdom and King. We had rich gold and silver reserves which the Portuguese and Arabs traded and looted. Learn your national history
