The first train station in Indonesia was found in the village of Spoorlaan, Kemijen Village, Semarang City. The station, which was built by the Nederland Indische Spoorweg (NIS) in 1864, is now almost gone. The former station during the Dutch colonial period is now a residential area, and almost drowned due to land subsidence. This year, the Central Government has made a study to reactivate the Semarang-Lasem railway line, which stretches from Semarang, Demak, Kudus, Pati, to Rembang. The route that was created by Samarang-Joana Stoomtram Maatschappij in the colonial period will soon be reactivated, after a long death. Watch this video in full. Hope it is useful.
