As a longtime owner of a 300SL (since new), I am very well acquainted with the car's history. I have to say that watching this video was very enjoyable and you did an excellent job of researching and telling the history. Everything you said was spot on and there were no inaccuracies to the specs or details as I could tell. Great work!
Just a minor fact you got wrong. Paul Bracq didn't design the 300SL. Bracq only arrived at Mercedes in 1957, and the first cars that were really his was the W111/112 coupé and convertible, because the "fintail" sedan was already locked in for production when he started working there. The 300SL is attributed to Friedrich Geiger, with a very long and storied career at Daimler Benz. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_Geiger
@@427Motorsports It's a very minor issue, and it was the only thing I could find. Otherwise very well researched, I am very impressed. It's not the usual rubble you find on the internet, you must've gone through books on the subject for this. Even if you're just a small channel now I can see a potential for growth because when people are searching for specific subjects they want quality content. I mean that's your unique selling point. Keep that level high and your reputation will grow and people will find you. Just like the quality of Mercedes of yore, I believe in real quality above the perceived quality of today.
c est vraiment une video passionante. Tres beau travail de recherche et video tres complete. Je suis un certe un jeune passioné automobile mais je pense que cette voiture elle l une des plus belles au monde.
