Not really. Spirits have always been manifestations of nature and none of them had any purpose except the ones they made for themselves.

@Akanni So you think spirits like Wan Shi Tong, Koh, Tui and La were boring. And think the simple premise of good and even translates to the Moon and Ocean who aren't good or evil and just maintain balance. Spirits are basically as common as people. They somewhat look cool but how much emotion do you feel when Aang confronts Koh, or when Aang merged with the ocean spirit or even when Wan Shi Tong spoke.

@@Hello-qv2fx there was only emotion because there were stakes. koh couldve fucked over aang's appearance and aang merged with la to save tui and the northern water tribe. that's why wan shi tong's library was more interesting than wan shi tong himself, because the stakes were in the library's knowledge. with the exception of vaatu, the spirits in lok didnt have stakes in the story so you think theyve 'lost their wow factor'. spirits are still pretty mysterious and powerful, as we see them wiping out humans on and off screen.

COMIC SPOILERS so basically he was kept in prison at the end of the show zuko says “where is my mother” in the comics ozai says bring some tea and we’ll talk about it. Everyday zuko went to his cell and brought him tea, ozai enjoyed messing with his son everyday. zuko asked him how to be a good fire lord, I forgot what he answers with but.. ozai didn’t know what happened to his mother because she ran away. *what happened to ursa (zukos mom* basically when Ursa was banished and ran away to see the love of her life. he got a new face from koh the face stealer, so did ursa. they lived together for a few years happily but team avatar found them not knowing who they were. azula also wanted to come along so she did too. team avatar wanted to help the couple not knowing the girl was ursa. they soon find out that the girl was ursa. azula went crazy and ran away so basically ozai just stayed in jail lol

Vatuu and Ravaa aren't link to the portals they just get empowered by them......but speaking of which in hope the next series has a dark avatar that is reincarnated to keep the cycle going. Would have loved to see the rise of a dark avatar against an avatar.

(Apologies for writing a long paragraph :)Kristian Ramlogan oo that’s true and about the dark avatar Vaatu is weakened inside of Raava I would love to see the future avatars having the duty to balance the darkness and lightness inside them. Vaatu can be recarnated by himself since he was destroyed in the Avatar state so now he’s growing into Raava until he rises in next thousands of years I’m hoping the avatar at the time of the future harmonic convergence will try to fuse Vaatu in order to bring balance since lightness is the only thing in the world then there isn’t any balance

Vaatu and raava has done A Lot of fighting every harmonic convergence before wan even exists when wan separated them he had no choice then to payback and help plus its destiny he was born right in time to help raava
