The History Of Vaati (The Legend Of Zelda) 

Still pissed Ghirahim was in Hyrule Warriors but Vaati the second best and second most appearing Zelda Villain was not.

I have to say that this guy was an interesting antagonist. His whole goal basically stems from the ideal that he demands respect. He was always tired of being treated as a measly apprentice and wanted to be something greater so he conducted this whole plan to basically become a god. It's interesting because apparently he seemed to have been exposed to what is known as the "evil of the hearts of man". This means that maybe Vaati was not always this crazed psycho who sees himself as a god but was merely influenced by the dark curse that he went down the road he did. This is further hinted at because when Vaati frees the demons of the Bound Chest rather then the monsters going their own way they actually start being loyal to Vaati from the smallest Pesto to the monstrous Gyorg Pair Vaati's influence over the world was staggering and by the end of the game his powers grow so abnormally large that he begins reshaping Hyrule Castle turning it into his own nightmarish fortress littered with his toughest monsters including the dreaded Black Knight. By the end of the game despite Link's best efforts he was not able to stop Vaati from achieving his god like form as he only needed to absorb half the Light Force from Zelda and not the whole thing. Vaati continued to mutate and become what I can only describe as the Legend of Zelda equal to Zero Two having labeled himself as the "Master of This World" a being of pure malice and raw rage. In this state Vaati could no longer be destroyed and had to be sealed away within the Piccori Blade for eternity. A fitting case of irony that he would be sealed away in the very same blade that his people once crafted for the Hero of Man. By Four Swords Adventures Vaati has completely lost it. His mind completely decayed and gone to the point where he can't even speak coherently. His transformation is complete. No longer the proud Minish apprentice he once was having completely succumbed to the power of darkness he has become Ganon's literal puppet. The reincarnation of the great evil and the curse that caused his fall from grace. By the end of the game he and Link duel one last time and he is sealed away in the Dark World of his creation for eternity. Ganon does not even mourn the loss of his comrade merely scoffing and ridiculing him for his failure to stop the Links and leaving him in his imprisoned state for eternity. Thus is the fate of Vaati the demonic god of winds.

My question: Why the hell is his human form SO DAMN CUTEEEE????

I think he's too busy doing Dark Souls lore to appear in a new Zelda.

I hope Vaati will return in a 3D zelda title.

Great video. I can never find time to play any Zelda game, but when i was 8, i borrowed my friends LoZ TMC and i LOVED Vaati, and he´s my all time favorite villian in The Legend of Zelda. The video showed off Vaatis story really well, and worth the watch : )

I remember an old theory video of yours about Vaati being the main villain in TOTK based on the trailer (and I don’t know if you took the video down after TOTK’s release or if I just can’t find it) which obviously did not happen, but I really wish that it did. I know some people are going to come at me for saying this, but I don’t think Ganondorf should have been the main villain in TOTK because he already was in BOTW and it felt kind of like we got cheated because it’s like “we literally just beat this guy in the last game! Now he’s suddenly back? Was all of the work done in BOTW for nothing!?” So I think they should have had a different main villain for TOTK, and I can definitely see it as an opportunity to bring back Vaati. The story would have likely involved him plaguing Hyrule with nasty storms and forcing Zelda to marry him so that he can obtain her power and Hyrule and because he lusts after her in order to take over the world as a powerful and evil god with Zelda as his queen. I would love that because, for one thing, can you imagine Vaati’s voice acting and how Zelda would look as an evil wind queen? And if Tulin and Vaati got into a battle: it would be the Wind Sage vs the Wind Mage.

I never played the zelda games he was featured but I think that the thing in the Botw Sequel trailer could be him, so I need knowledge about him.

... but in the end I've heard that Ganon could break free some times later after the Events of Four Sword Adventures and even destroyed the Four Sword completely.

I LOVE watching these videos, & learning all I can of the Legend of Zelda series in the process. But I've got a question: Are the worlds in A Link to the Past & A Link Between Worlds the same? I got LBW (Link Between Worlds) game on 3ds, & the "Bee Guy" says he hasn't seen Link since way back when. Is he the "Bug-Catching Kid" as a grown-up??

I honestly have mixed feelings towards Vaati. He doesn't seem like he did that much in Minish Cap (let alone the whole franchise). He's an awesome boss in the game, with cool designs, but I feel like he had a lot of potential wasted throughout the franchise. I REALLY wanted to like this villain, because I heard people say he's about Ghirahim levels of amazing. But to me, he didn't really peak that much of my interest. Sorry, Vaati fans, but mind explaining to me why he's that loved?

Hopefully if they make a direct sequel to tears of the kingdom they could have vaati as the villain seeing as ganondorf is now defeated. Maybe even have the game in a foreign land.
