My third clip that im uploading from the new Hobbit film. This time when Thorin confronts Smuag. I own nothing. So, only if you want to of course, like, favourite, comment and maybe even subscribe :)
Personally, I like the Dwarves vs Smaug scenes. In the book, they never fought. While yes, they are afraid of Smaug and for good reason, but that's all they do? Just stand there? At least here they try to kill him. This actually works Lorewise because not only are Dwarves sturdy, fearless and proud warriors, but are very Intelligent and crafty when it comes to engineering, making them the best Smiths. This movie shows all that, making me love the Dwarves all the more.
i always loved this scene i mean standing up to that HUGE ass dragon and telling him off when Smaug could have easily just ate him in a single bite and the way Smaug was hypnotized by that golden statue was perfect timing
It's to bad this wasn't how they actually killed Smaug. Smothering a dragon to death with liquid melted gold would not only be a horrific way to go but would be poetic justice at it's finest
My wife never appreciated the lord of the rings series, much less the hobbit, but when I told her Benedict Cumberbatch was Smaug she kind of changed her mind.

Anyone else notice the wide eyed look Thorin gave the golden statue at the same moment Smaug did when the casing fell away? Commence with the dragon sickness
And Thorin is probably nothing before Durin, who founded the kingdom of Khazad Dum. But in their own time, Thorin and Smaug are among the greatest. In the case of Smaug, without competition.
I have an ex friend who I just tried to fix things with after months of not talking with! That shit did not go well! I would love to call her a witless worm
Though I adore the use of motion capture in bringing him to life, Smaug's finalized design is so disappointing; they should've given him front legs as they'd originally intended.
