Dude i dont get the hate this movie gets. Its a great adventure fantasy. Even though you dont get much character building with the dwarves, you still bond with them. Feel for them. For me after LOTR trilogy this will always be the 2nd best trilogy ever made. Its still in middle earth guys. I wish it was 10 movies long. Id pay money to watch bilbo watch the acorn grow into a tree.
I’m a big fan of LOTR (best trilogy ever - books and movies) but I can still appreciate Hobbit for what it is, flawed but still fun, yet now where near the grandeur of LOTR. The writing, CGI etc is problematic. And the whole Tauriel thing was terrible. But it’s still fun, and I can look over these flaws.
I enjoyed the hobbit trilogy for what it was and I understand why others might not like it and I think the book is better, but damn if this is not done well
Him finding his handkerchief at the end caught me by suprise on how it made me tear up. Call back to when he first leaves on his adventure and thinking about everything he went thru, and how irrelevant something like a handkerchief probably seems to him now
My top moments are Thorins death and the delected scene in which Bilbo plants his acorn in Dale Bard: I made myself imagine this city restored. We would take what had been destroyed and rebuild it. It would wash away this sadness. And the streets once again would be filled with life. Full of hope. Bilbo: No, no, no. Come now. Don't despair! Bard: What would you have us do? Bilbo: Do? Do? Here. Here. I'll show you. (Bilbo diggs a hole, shows Bard and Gandalf the acorn and lay it into the hole. Then he closed the hole again.) Bard: Bilbo, what's that? Bilbo: That's a promise. Underneath all this dirt and blood there is a chance for new life. It may sound hopeless. It may sound foolish. But, really, what else can you do? And when faced with death what can anyone do? You go on living.
The scene should take part in the third movie, (after the orcs entered into the city and killed a lot of people). Very sad, they don't put it in! *schnief*
Thorin telling them dwarves why he came back to help them after escaping from the goblin mountain, and bilbo saving thorin from the orc who was about to kill him. And the river battle scene, and goblin mountain escape scene
Hi TheHobbitCountdown Producations. Firstly, i would lie to say, what a fantastic video!!! My favorite scene has to be either Misty Mountains as it just thrills my insides with fear but also joy. Nevertheless, Thorins death scene sends chills down my spine every time i watch it. Thanks again. From your fellow hobbit lover
What about the scene where Bilbo saves Thorin from Azog? Or the one where Thorin finally acknowledges him? Also Thorin's charge should have been #1 easily.
I genuinely enjoyed the trilogy. The only thing I almost get bored at is the battle and too much Legolas ironically but everything else is at least good to great to even perfect. I will say though, it COULD have been another perfect trilogy if production wasn’t cursed and Jackson wasn’t under so much pressure. It would be nice for them to reboot it again, give it a different tone. Most of the casting was so perfect though it’s hard to see anyone else play these characters.
