I've got a 2012 and been riding close to 40yrs...it's been probably the most dynamic engine and fun I've ever experienced...and I've had a lot of motorcycles in my time.
I'm sooooo happy that the 600 class isn't dying. I'm riding an 2009 ZX-6R in an amateur racing series. With the 1000 you have to spend so much more money. With the 600 you can be competitive, still with older material. And the 600 are really fun and rewarding since you really have to squeeze them out. And the price is more than fair!
@@shadow_realm47 agreed; Kawi have the track weapon that is the ZX-4R, they've never abandoned the 600cc class, they have their mental supercharged monsters... I mean... props to them for doing their own thing and not just following the money and putting parallel twins everywhere.
@@philipjames3526Well Yamaha has 70hp R7 and then 200hp R1. I would love to have some affordable 150hp ish sports bike, could be a down tuned 1000cc no electronics just good suspension and brakes. Well thats the GSX-R 750 but I think that doesn't even sell in Europe anymore.
The only thing they missed on is lack of cruise control. Once you have it you don’t want to go without. If it had cruise I would buy it today. I love it.
I never had the skills to max a 1000 on a track. However I could ring a 600, not as fast as others but enough to feel epic. Feel is what I miss about bikes, hope the rider aids don’t kill feel. They did on the 765 Daytona (when it worked) I owned, 675 was way better for feel.
I've never been a Honda guy (don't ask how many Kawasaki motorcycles I and my family have had...) but I adore the looks of the new 600. Had this come out when I bought my race bike...I might be on something red instead of green :P
I thought the wind part was just bull before when i only rode nakeds. Like it is not that bad. But now on a faired bike i cruise 20-30 kph faster on commute etc and it is still less windy/noisy than before
@@HeyAddieImTojo I have a flyscreen on mine. Had done track days where I achieve max speed and had no problem with wind. On the street I find it better. It keeps me less prone to speeding which can only be a good thing nowadays
For everyone moaning about ‘another parallel twin’, here’s the answer. 10k, and a lot of pedigree, with modern tech. Yes pls. Can’t wait to see jack kennedy on it this yr in bss
Make 600s great again! I am fine with the electronics as long as you can turn them all off, including ABS hopefully. I know it is a selling point, but who really wants electronics on a 600?
Theyre asking $29,355 for this in Australia. Thirty grand for a 600. For reference, I bought a '23 model GS1250 Rallye ADV for $35k thereabouts, with a small discount. Unbelievable. EDIT: The last time i paid for a 600, it was a Suzuki GSXR and it was barely $13k. Beast of a bike. What a stupid price Honda.
Yeah dude I was about to say the same thing. Especially when Kawasaki is selling the zx6r for $17,000 and that’s basically the only other manufacturer making a 600.
@@mistervegemite4941 honestly, i'd buy the zixxer for the engine, kawasaki know their stuff. F*%k Honda and their..... "exclusivity". We can get a much cheaper bike that as every bit as good as this EDIT: - stupidly - overpriced L plate move up.
@@bensmith7536mate, we are so screwed by Honda Australia. Stupid pricing on their 600rr, plus no standard 1000rr but only bring the 1000rr r-sp with 55k price tag. Who ever in charge of this (and he has been in this chair for 10 years) can go to hell.
The electronic will tell you exactly how much fuel was consumed on the dash. My 2012 fireblade also has no gauge but it has that function. That's more than enough for me.
I don’t think that’s confirmed yet, i think its possible the cbr letters act as a guage, c being low b being half and r being full…. Idk, it’s bullshit that the US isnt getting the updated version.
@@BikeWorldTVshow I understand, iam just curious how the sound ist with that new Euro 5+. I hope it’s not to silent. I ordered the 600rr but delivery is probably end of year or early 2025. damn.
@@sr20drft Delivery is Spring '24 for most of europe at least. Soundcheck with the stock can is pointless, you'll change the can day 1 just like with every other sportbike.
basically the old 600 with new fairings and gizmos, just like with ninja 600 and even r6. meh. buuut, buut I think I will get me some of this new cbr600 because I am an 600 pleb(dont need anything bigger) and it is after all based on some good stuff and not the new budget bikes we get now. but 170.000 sek ie 15k€ is insanity for an 600.
@@KapitanPisoar1 I dont really think so, they are super expensive but we get the same chassis with the same engine. for that amount of money it should have had basically a fancy moto2 frame, be 15-20kg lighter and 20hp more. 170K sek/15k€ is a lot of money for the old sameo with new plastic and electrical gizmos.
@@allnighterist "blame Canada" ? If only somebody could turn that into a song! Suzuki sells Gsxr 600/750 here, Kawasaki sells Zx6r here, I think it's a Honda thing not selling enough units to justify it.
He is the factory rider and it's his jobs. Maybe look him up first, Dean started from nothing and now he is one of the fastest Road Racers and a factory rider. Bit of respect, please.
@@KapitanPisoar1 there was nothing disrespectful about the comment. I'm sure if "Dean" himself saw it, he could have found it amusing. What's disrespectful about saying someone is a "True Ambassador" . People really sensitive these days
Great bike, thrilled it's back but the rear end looks so dated & disproportionate imo. I remember when this shape first came out & I didn't think much of the underset can then & it hasn't aged well either. Nonetheless the return of supersport bikes can only be a good thing & the price is great too. I really hope Suzuki bring back the GSXR750 too.
looks aside, its a shame kawasaki did not bring zx10 tech in the zx6. meaning a blipper, cornering abs, and the rest of the electronics. also the lack of a steering damper. that the honda has from factory. that being said, the cbr looked like it struggled to put 230 on the odo while the 636 will hit 245 and hit the rev limiter in 6th..
The front end\headlights are hideous. Both Honda and Kawasaki have doubled-down each new model with ugly front ends. It looks like a fish with its mouth wide open.
I agree about the Honda, the 2013 and 12 were gorgeous, this one is ugly. I disagree about the Kawi, the 2024 ZX-6R is stunning and had I had any money I'd drop it on the 40th anniversary edition even though IMHO both my Hyosung 650's are better for the road with the v-twin and lower power.
why would you need electronics on a 600? this still has the same power as a first 600rr. Just get the 2007 model onwards and you're buying pretty much the same bike as this.
@@f270 no prob. The high side was probably due to tire choice on track more then throttle input. With good tires there is no reason you should be spinning up 65hp. Many 400 cc and lower bikes have narrow tire width and don’t use the same rim size as the 600s and liter bikes so your lean angle is much less.
