Her body is in the Church of Saint Mary Madeline on the Mount of Olives. Both she and her husband visited on pilgrimage to the Holy Land and they donated very generously to many Churches there including the Church in Cana of Galilee. It was her generosity that helped construct the beautiful Church on the Mount of Olives which is a symbol of the Christian Faith in Jerusalem and in the entire world. May her memory be Eternal. She rests there with a nun Barbara from her convent who was martyred with her. Her body was taken by train across Russia all the way to China before returning to Jerusalem.
I’ve watched many of these and this is the most shocking one I’ve saw to date. I learned about the Russian revolution in school but never learned about this, she was helping the people more than Lenin and his cronies. Hope they’re all burning in hell for what they did.
“Lenin and his cronies” dragged the Russians out of feudalism and into the 20th Century, which is more than the parasitic Romanovs ever did. But never mind - Putin and his cronies are here now to bring war and slavery back to Europe, and they’ve enlisted the Russian Orthodox Church and its Holy Saints to help them do it. No doubt this is a source of joy for you?
Woah, she spent a fraction of her undeserved, inherited wealth to open a hospital. This definitely makes up for the decades of brutal repressions, pogroms, famines, etc. the Russian people faced under the Tsar and Tsarina, with her support! I really do despise people like you who base their worldview on nothing but sympathetic stories - you don't seem to realize that tens of thousands of russian peasants received far worse than her from the Russian nobility, but never had their story remembered as they weren't big names.
I remember reading about this - your video honors her very much and was well done. As horrific as her end was, I think of all the good she did and compassion she had. No mine shaft or grenade can take away from that. That's where evil men with fragile egos fail.
I just learned something completely new to me. I thought that I knew a lot about the Russian revolution, but this was shocking and edifying at the same time. Thank you so much.
I did not know about this. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. Can you even imagine being the type of person who would treat another human in such a manner. If you research how long it takes for someone to starve to death, then remember she was surrounded by dead bodies. She was just a Nun. She wanted to just help people. God Bless her.
@@havenhurstgroup an inappropriate and disrespectful remark. This is about the martyrdom of a beautiful soul. Comparing her death to a US political party is heartless and unseemly.
Compelling tragic and heartbreaking video about the life and death of Elizabeth sister to Alexandra sister in law to Nicholas and Aunt Olga Tatiana Maria Anastasia and Alexei she was a sweet kind warm gentle giving soul
They died a more brutal death for being born who they are than criminals who get the death penalty for horrific and heinous crimes. Very cruel way to execute a person. I've always said it's no picnic being born royalty there's alot that comes with that, a responsibility and a burden that would break the majority of people. God Bless our leaders especially those born into it, may they always have the strength to do the right thing 🙏🏼
The Bolsheviks were massively supported by Western interests, including wealthy people in America. It's a myth that it was a spontaneous uprising by the Russian workers, it was massively funded so they could be arms and newspapers.
Her story is heartbreaking. as a member of the monarchy, She was only tangentially involved in the aristocratic policy and actions towards the people, and in fact for much of her life, she attempted to provide assistance and care to them. But for her title and status, she was brutally Injured and killed. It always reminds me to not judge other peoples outsides by my insides, meaning many can seem as if they have a charmed life, full of all of the things that one could want, and yet we really don’t know what they have sustained in their own lives. The fact of the matter is she never pursued power, or wealth, but sustained much loss and pain and sorrow all through her life until the bitter end, but she still lived with courage, forgiveness and faith.
Patrick...revolutions are bloody and have always been so. We are humans with many flaws. Remember the rebels (Communists) saw them as foreign abusers of the peasant class who suffered greatly mostly due to Russia never following the example of the West Industrializing and many people were serfs, which was a condition that was wiped out by the 19th century.
@@marinazagrai1623The Communists wanted complete power. If they were really concerned about the well-being of their fellow countrymen, they wouldn't have murdered so many of them.
The vileness of political idealogues is highlighted with this horrificially brutal action of revenge. Thank you for this information - it is new to me.
Animals, so sad this is continuing today. My Grandparents escaped to Canada a few years before this happened. They told me entire families were beheaded in public.
I was there for a few months in '83. Our trailer was behind the shop a snack on the main highway. When Burt Reynolds filmed Smokey and the Bandit II, that shop a snack is in the movie.
Alexander Solzhenitsyn wrote a book called '200 Years Together' in which he shows the machinations of the groups of people that controlled communism, and how those people killed circa 66 million Russians in about 70 years. In our world of freedom of the press it is exceedingly difficult to read this book by this world renowned author.
The Gulag Archipelago's are his great works on the end result of progressivism/socialism/communism! Jordan Peterson does some great podcasts discussing this great work!
@@dixiederivatives I read Gulag 50 years ago, and have read most of Al's books. Perhaps I did a poor job in conveying the basic point, i.e. that the same people that brutally killed the Russian royals were the same people that old Al shows killed his countrymen from 1917 to 1987, and are the same people who have made the access to this specific book extremely difficult. It wasn't Russians that killed these millions. It wasn't Russians who made up the initial Communist Party, or ran the dreaded NKVD. 200 Years Together is a suppressed book. Suppressed by people like Zelenshki, and by the handlers of that shill jordan you mentioned. Tis unfortunate that Alex's excellent breakdown of who did what to who will simply not be read as it should be.
@@jerrycruitt5375 I never implied it was the Russian people who imprisoned, tortured, and murdered, as most are aware it was the corrupt evil marxists at the top controlling their sick government machines. Although in these scenarios there are plenty of sociopathic average citizens who are willing to join in, most are aware they are living in hell! In the USA its somewhat of a different story since many US citizens are so completely brainwashed and vote in power those whose end game is the same as what occurred in most tyrannical regimes. I understand that in the USSR's history and other communist nations as well there was no legitimate way to vote these people out of power. The US by the way is well on its way to having a completely corrupt voting system as well. The democratic party want elections to be just a show with no real legitimate results except them winning. As for Jordan Peterson being a shill, although he is not a physicist (hard scientist) such as Albert Einstein or numerous other greats of the 20th Century, he is probably one of the greatest minds of the 21st Century. It may be because of people like him that we have a chance at keeping our liberties and not ending up living in a tyrannical centrally planed world that the WEF and its head Fascist Klaus Schwab are trying to create!
@@jerrycruitt5375 In what countries are these books suppressed? It has been my assumption that Jordan Peterson was highlighting Alexander's books. Can you explain more please?
@@flower2289 He's alluding to the fact that Solzhenitsyn's book " 200 Years Together" is referring to the 200 years that the largely Orthodox Christian Russian people lived together with Jewish people (historically anti-Christian since the schisms in the Jewish religions around the time of Jesus), most who were absorbed when Russia absorbed Poland and a few other eastern territories in the 17th century and culminating with the mostly Jewish Bolshevik movement, which saw brutal leaders such as Lev Bronstein (aka Trotsky), and would result in many of the gulag camp commanders (such as Matvei Berman, Israel Pisner, Lazar Kagan, Semyon Firin, and Naftaly Frenkel), NKVD leadership (like Genrich Yagoda), and even top administrators (like Lazor Kaganovich) being Jewish, many chosen specifically for their hate of ethnic Russians and Ukrainians, and the Orthodox Christian faith, which would often result in extreme cruelty and firm repression of "enemies of the state". Since Solzhenitsyn's book is considered by some as "antisemitic", many American publishing houses and companies with leftist sentiments won't sell the book, which is why it's hard to find English translated versions of the book, although it's not impossible to find and purchase one.
R.I.P to St. Elisabeth and her faithful companion St. Varvara. R.I.P. To OTMA and Alexei as well. Innocents who lost their lives at the command of wicked men simply due to their connections to royalty rather than for any fault of their own.
I see how cruelty brought such wonderful people to light. The Bolshevik Revolution and their treatment of others including the Ukrainians and other peace loving Russians. No wonder Lenin never fully trusted Stalin and instead wanted Trotsky to succeed him, Stalin was even worse and effective.
Lev Bronstein (Trotsky's real name) was a bloodthirsty sadist and brutal killer, and Lenin was a monster. Don't delude yourself into thinking they were nice guys heading a peaceful "socialist" movement until Stalin came along. They were all brutal barbarians and killers. Stalin simply knew Bronstein was an internationalist pawn who would bleed the Soviet Union dry, and Stalin was also a psychopathic maniac who wanted power who was smart enough to get rid of the old Bolsheviks who would have just as easily of purged Stalin if they had the chance. This video relating the cruel execution of Princess Elisabeth occurred in 1918, when Lennin and Trotsky were the top dogs, and Stalin was just one of the pack in the upper echelon of the Bolsheviks. Just like any gang of criminals or power hungry exploiters, eventually they destroy each other because they're greedy.
The Germans had a hand in Lenin’s rise and knocking the Russians out of the war. Unfortunately, the Germans unleashed a monster with the creation of the Soviet Union. Gone were social structure, moral justice, just theft, and military rule underneath a socialist nation bent on destroying the world of organized religion.
I made it 3 minutes into this video, and would like to have finished it but I cannot listen to the narration. The cadence is terribly robotic and not pleasant at all. In fact it's quite distracting.
She truly had “Christ Consciousness “ and was a martyr. As eternal beings, she is reunited with her husband🙏 I’m glad the Russians recognised her as a Saint!
Interesting vid though have to say its not really necessary to mimic a documentarian voice, in fact so many documentarians do it, some better than others, its become annoying and detracts from the information being provided.
I have a book called “The Last of the Tsars” that mentions this. This is why Church and State should not be separate, and why atheism needs to suppressed.
What a tragedy that the sins of the house of Hesse shall fall on their descendants until they are no more……it’s sad and tragic…..the killing of the innocents……😢
My God it brings out the total inhumanity of the revolutionary bastards ! So much hatred for people who were simply born nto a system & knew nothing else, yet they were treated like criminals, and those who did that were criminalos themslves ! Rest in peace little lady - I had not heard of her before, but very much respect her now - may she be enjoying the beauty of another more peaceful place & love all around her. Without believing in that possibility it makes all such incidents so pointless ! We hiumans are soi damned ignorant & cruel at times ! What has Russia really achieved with it's current Soviet status & behaviot - nobody respects their system !
Well that brutality does not surprise me. My Ukrainian German grand mother had her whole family murdered in 1920. She was the only one who survived and fled to Sweden. She was 17 years old. The Communists were brutal and remained brutal.
It's so hard to understand why she would meet such a horrific death after turning her back on the monarchy and becoming a nun. Elizabeth did such good work for the people of Russia; she had more compassion than the evil men who took her life from her and her family. Those evil men are the ones who really deserved to be thrown in the mine shaft and have grenades dropped on them. May God bless her soul.
So sad. People are so cruel. Bad enough they had to kill her but they can't just kill her they have to torture & beat her. Throw her in a pit where took her days to die. Plus the killing of the others. Just evil the ones doing the killing are the psychopaths. Full of hate & jealousy & malice. Just cruel evil people. They surely have an evil dark hardened heart. Isaiah says hell enlarges itself to consume them. But until our last breath there is redemption in Jesus Christ The Bible says All that call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved His name is Jesus. I believe she knew the Lord Jesus as her Savior. She is safe now.
Lenin was a bitter monster and coward who was pathologically jealous of anyone with a moderate intellect. By putting Trotsky in charge of the Red Army his primary purpose was to ensure that he would not survive. In fact, Trotsky was admired by rank and file soldiers because he opposed bad conditions and killing for the sake of it. Lenin, by contrast, wanted to use fear as a weapon and was too dim to understand that tyrannical methods created internal enemies.
I tend to think the last generation of Russian royal family were politically stupid even to the point of foolishness, however, in terms of their religious beliefs they were honorable people who tried to live up to the religious values of the Russian Orthodox Church which is why they are somewhat respected as religious figures today in Russia.
Sad the revolution in Russia was a true hell that destroyed all that was good for all the evil that followed how they got themselves out of that horror is amazement
The animalistic cruelty of the assassins did no credit to their cause. They proved themselves as brutal as they had supposed their oppressors to have been.
I applaud your video, but I suggest you make a very disrespectully erroneous statement at approximately 6:19 to 6:20 when you state that she tried to "appease God by devoting her life to charity." God does not require appeasement; and, even if He did, no human being could do so. By asserting this, ou disrespect the Orthodox Faith and Elizabeth's practice of it. She followed the spiritual path that she chose---not to "appease God"---but to serve Him through serving the poor and the needy, which Christ, in the Gospels, commands us to do. And that command is not for the accomplishment of some kind of appeasing; it is, instead, to participate in the privilege that Christ has given us of caring for His treasured poor and needy. I listened several times to your statement at 6:19/6:20. and, in my opinion, it truly constitutes a sad (and wholly unnecessary) flaw in your overall presentation. What is great in this video is brought to it by Elizabeth herself. What is flawed in it is, unfortunately, yours.
Is this really much different from royal executions? French royalty was mercilessly separated and posed against each other, before being murdered by the mob. British king was murdered by public because they were dissatisfied by his rule. His son forever lost ownership of the country. Much more to dive in if we want to explore British rule
I'm surprised there's not yet a comment decrying the comparable evils of capitalism and free enterprise as well as proclaiming, "But this wasn't real socialism." My guess is that any hardcore adherent to socialism wouldn't be watching a post about the tragic death of a royal personage.
Why should anyone do that when you already did. Just because you are PRETENDING to not know the difference doesn't mean there isn't one. Communism is too extreme and does not work. Just as Fascism/Nazism is too extreme and does not work either. A good economic system looks for the best in anything and willing to learn. That is like blaming Capitalism for the Corporatism in Fascism.
You did a good job making that point. Evil in any system when it gets total power. Communism is too extreme, and most countries find a mix that works for them. Happiest people in today's world live in mostly socialist societies. Socialist aspects in our (US) capitalist system are very popular (Social Security, Medicare, libraries, postal system, public schools, public highways, police, military, etc)
