That curry incident was crazy. The Japanese embasy in India had to put out an apology and it pretty much pissed off a lot of people. Some RU-vidrs are really angry and disappointed, I am talking about RU-vidrs who stay far away from politics.
At 01:30 - The worst situation that you can be when you're in the woods in Japan, the best thing to do is to get out of there the most silently possible, if you make any noises or face the mother of the cubs... You're dead!!! Because the mother will prioritize the security of her cubs!!!
1:46 I love how you name your own folder :"Desktop > Video Stuff > Secret Folder > RU-vid Drama" 9:31 I saw someone talked about this on YT shorts before...this is so awful
Ew, those guys should be locked up for sexual harassment and assault. Those poor women clearly didn't want anything to do with them and they kept pushing with a camera in their face
Sexism, as the short answer. But for the long answer, women are expected to marry and have kids and then quit their jobs, so going for a long career like that is very gated. Because sexist old men are in high positions of power it's also very difficult for women to even get in initially. This is why the birth rate in Japan is tanking, as women are realising their worth and fighting for their independence. Having kids is very expensive, it takes away the joys they have in life and their financial security etc so they just aren't dating, marrying etc. @@Jinars.
@@Jinars. Patriarchal society, hard for women to advance in careers, and lack of law education opportunities aimed at women perhaps. This ain't like Europe where we regularly vote women into politics and such.
@AdoraTsang The flip side of that is whats happening in North America though, women are believed too easily now and loads of them lie to get their way. You need a middle ground where testimony alone cant be evidence.
@@SIBERIX2369 I kind of see where you come from but honestly no person should be subjected to that behavior if they are not consenting. No matter their age or cuteness. Just keep that in mind, because non cute people deserve decent treatment too.
I love how Japan has its equivalent of every global internet milestone. They had their own version of Jared the Subway guy, and now they have thier own versions of the various douchetubers who were popular back in 2010.
I can’t wait to see the Japanese version of RU-vid Apologies. Imagine if a Japanese RU-vidr does a Sienna Mae apology using a traditional dance like Nihon Buyo, now that would be crazy
When I watch more recent Japanese dramas, some of them often depict RU-vidrs as a problematic males in their 20s with funky colored hairs. I was thinking 'Hmmm.. I think they are a bit late to this kind of stereotyping', tried to Google some new popular RU-vidrs in Japan and I was surprised that these kind of contents are actually trending
I already hated these kind of youtubers more than enough in Europe and America. I hope it doesn't persist in Japan as well, though I have very high doubts about that.
I've been noticing this trend as well. One Japanese RU-vidr I used to watch knew about Western RU-vid trends *and* Japanese RU-vid trends (as he is biracial and bilingual), and for the last few years he has been ragging on the lateness of Japanese RU-vidrs to hop onto awful trends; he also would complain about popular Japanese TikTokers being public nuisances (as that is incredibly taboo in Japan especially). Even the "apology" videos are just as bad. 😂 Thank you for talking about this. I don't think many people outside of Japan understand just how bad the "popular" side of Japanese RU-vid is.
because they're not using English. Until major multinational advertisers get mad at Japanese creators, they can put those words in the title and be subject to different rules than us. For some reason, we give Japan a magic pass for all sorts of things; there's this soft bigotry where Something is cooler and more acceptable if it's Something, Japan. People see strange cultural practices and criticize them but if it's the Japanese then they'll tell you to "leave them to their culture" lol. I am half-Asian and the soft bigotry doesn't get applied to my country! That's what makes it so noticeable
@@AdamOwenBrowning Calling pro-Japanese bias "soft bigotry" is amongst the most ludicrous things I had ever read in YT comments and I've been here since 2007.
There is actually an outbreak going on there rn of streptococcal toxic shock syndrome which has a 30% fatality rate, but it’s not respiratory so it’s unlikely to become a pandemic
Y'know I used to like ジュキヤ like 2 years ago, but now I can't help but be disgusted by ジュキヤ and his videos. Not even cringe, just revolted, they seem like awful people
There was a whole sub story in Ryu ga gotoku about RU-vidrs/streamers doing anything for views. Appreciate content about Japan that isn’t a weeb that’s never left his country geeking over anime or one of the many “English teacher” diaries.
Its crazy to me people ask autographs of those weirdos. Imagine a grown ass dude walking up to logan paul for an autograph. The internet wouldn't let that down.
They thing they’re cool.. remmeber.. a lot of peple are timid and shy and have no confidence there.. so seeing someone this bold. It’s like their idol. Nad they’re also making $$$..
Not really so odd when he's a large figure in WWE now. People DO change and get better. And good people can make bad decisions. Folks need to not act like a handful of mistakes define a person for life. He's a legit celebrity now and it wouldn't be weird at all to ask for an autograph, be they child or adult.
Living in Japan and what struck me, is that unlike the West/middle east, im from the Netherlands. Japanese youth is absolutely not obsessed with Politics & make everything abt politics or religion. Its a refreshing experience and feels like the old days in my country.
@@azumishimizu1880Yeah, Westerners are like as you described. I am American and my entire family is American, and all they only really talk about politics and celebrities.
5:20 I cant find any detailed resources on bear control in Japan (that arent in Japanese) but in the US its very common to destroy or capture bear cubs of their mother is human habituated. Bears stay with their mothers for years and learn everything from them, including dumpster diving. Considering how young the cubs are in the video, I doubt they would be able to survive on their own. Its very possible the cubs are dead, too.
I can only fear of Japanese youtube with it being so late to the party...If they're still in the Pranking phase of 2018, God speed to anyone who sane when the "Anything for views" trend of 2023 appears for 'em
Dang, we got Japanese car companies acting like American ones (being scummy and cutting down trees), and NOW we have Filthy Frank/Logan Paul 2 😔😔😔😔man Also, the reason why no Japanese RU-vidrs hit a million till 2014 is because stuff like niconico existed, as well as various Japanese video sharing sites, so there wasn’t as much as an incentive to go into RU-vid until it got big
@@notbadsince97I’m joking, i know filthy Frank is like 100x Better than whatever these Japanese RU-vidrs are doing. I’m just joking that *SOME* of these sketches (not the bad ones like the bear forest one and S Assault on women) seem like something filthy Frank would do
RU-vid is okay with harrassment and other soft crime content because their concern is all money. They only take action against them if woke culture and sensitivity of public gets angry(to avoid get sued basically). However, woke culture isnt quite there in non western countriee, and all sorts of borderline criminal stuff are being posted on non english youtube, and since america has no idea of those content and be furious, youtube is also fine with it.
Love this stuff, bro. I was a mormon missionary in Kyoto, Osaka, and out in the sticks of Hyogo-ken in the early '90s. Loved it and spent another six months in Gifu ken studying and interning at Chubu Denryoku, where I met my partner in the late 90s. We moved our family to Tokyo from 2008-2012 where I worked in finance. We go back often but I've studiously stayed away from Japanese YT. Just too cringey. Your synopses are brilliant. Wish I had found it earlier. Will send some shekels your way. BTW, I completely deconstructed from mormonism to the non-metaphysical bliss of human reason and kindness. Have apologised to the living people in Japan I tried to indoctrinate into the cult, fwiw.
Well now I know that if I'm in Japan with a girl and some RU-vidr asks me to step way from her to not do it. No way I'm letting someone I care about be traumatized by some creep.
@@josedorsaith5261 You're lacking in ego. I can teach you my mysterious ways if you like 😂 Though seriously there's enough comments showing concern for the girl so I wanted to add that as a guy I learned something from it. Maybe a bit egotistical but whatever.
I recall a friend of mine who grew up in Japan mentioning in 2008 that fax machines were still a widely used means of communication, even though they worked just as poorly for the Japanese as they did anywhere else.
some government offices in the US still use fax machines- Its mainly for accessibility. Older people are customers and they know how to use fax machines so keeping a fax number makes them able to use a comfortable mode of communication. Also fax can be done over internet connection like anything else so even if you dont have a dedicated line you can still receive it if you have a printer that has that option
I respect the amount of patience you have to sit through all of these videos, Japanalysis. I know jp side of yt is kinda crazy but I never expect it, or at least parts of it, to be this bad.
at 5:43 i was so like, mentally prepared for a normal 申し訳ありませんでした i was completely blown away when he started like 'anyway i talked to my lawyers". he should have started the video by bowing and saying '申し訳あります!'
This whole "prank" "Influencer" stuff has to stop before somebody gets seriously injured. Being an "influencer" nowadays means more often than not a psychiatric diagnosis, but anyways, all this is not normal for sure. In the US "pranksters" have been shot by the surprised victims and also occasionally severely beaten by the other people near the scene. This madness really has to stop no matter what country we are talking about.
Japan is known to adopt things popular in the west a few years later. If you look at the music scene from the 1970s/1980s you will notice this trend. Some trends mix together with Japanese culture to create something more unique. If you look at Japan 20 or so years after WW2 you will notice they adopted some of the western cutting edge tech advancements of that period. The rebuilt cities felt futuristic for the time but also unique as they kept some of their own culture mixed in like with architecture. If anyone is curious about post WW2 Japan look up the video "A Day in TOKYO in 1968".
Tbh in my country, Indonesia, they also catch the trend as late as Japan. I feel like, at least here, they idolised people from the west and thought, oh maybe if i translate this to my own language it'll be a good content! Just.. there are more bad content translated than the good ones
It was fair to call out American RU-vid for being awful back when it was in this era. RU-vid still doesn't do nearly enough when it comes to terrible creators.
No way were expiriencing the prank era again, hope no one does the jake paul again (not like the poor bear, its Harambe over again) , also i want to meet that bear to see if it leaves me a backpack (great video keep going)
Dude, Ive been watching you for quite a while, this is your best video yet, Your comedic timing is seriously good. I had several good out-loud chuckles throughout the video. Absolutly loved it, and hope to see more commentary like this in the future!!!
I've gotta get this off my chest... Louis Vuitton is a brand for pretentious people who want to look wealthy for clout, but don't have any actual taste.
Even if it’s a phase it doesn’t excuse them for their inappropriate creepy behaviour. In anyway they should learn from us westerns sides and turn it into something more healthy and educational. As a person who has experienced a lot of these pranks before it’s really unpleasant to keep doing this while other kids are looking up to you
I don't know how they will learn, maybe those RU-vidrs doesn't understand English, just look at their content, you can also judge their brain I believe a lot of japanese people can understand English, but not those RU-vidrs 😕
@@ThorStoneGamingI thought the effects of systemic racism would mean that people of colour would be MORE likely to be arrested. Thanks for the information, how did I miss this? /s
Agreed. The style may have changed a bit, but you still have quite a few number of people doing anything for cloud in this prankish style, like those two clowns who went and punched a random guy on the street not so long ago, or that one who was insulting and berating someone who in return shot him, or the girls going to random men asking them how they would rate them and if they have a girlfriend and whatnot. Again, slightly different style, but it reeks disgustingly similar.
u cant tell me the 2nd guy wasnt randomly stumble into the old Franku video, as well as the suicide forest from Logan's and then just take the worst from both side to make it even worse (i like Frank and his content mainly surrounds his friends group, cuz if they actually pull those on normal people there would be uproar even back then)
its weird how japan can come up with new internet trend like vtubers, but then theres also this part of japan, honestly the best youtube content in japan now is the streaming content, especially big collab events like vcr gta
It's wild to see westren youtubers be afraid of swearing alittle too early in the video or say things that might make advertisers unhappy, but you got guys in japan doing shit like that and getting those green dollars signs like?????
Do more of these! I think more needs to be exposed. Japan is praised by people, WAY more than it should be on the internet and everywhere I love that you expose the bad points about it here. As you can tell I am absolutely sick of it here, been here 7 years and its time to leave, there are many great things but it is FAR from perfect. I didn't know about this stuff myself, the second guy makes me sick to my stomach. Fuck that dude.
always those people that complain incessantly about japan but are still staying there. You are not gonna leave, because you know japan is still better than any other shithole country youre gonna move to.
I agree with that people online but praise Japan more than it should be, I think it’s because there’s so many fans of anime and Japanese culture. I see the same obsession around Korea, and I’m guessing it’s thanks to all the K-pop fans making waves online. I wonder if China will ever attain this type of soft power…
Yes i heard being a RU-vidr has not really positive image in Japan. Now i can see myself how cringey it is, i think many of them started using RU-vid since the start of pandemic, so does their celebrities started to more active on social media, although some of them look so uncomfortable to use it because of their paranoia about their privacy, they even turn off or disable the comments.
that patreon part 2 thing you have just did was an amazing idea. I wouldn't have gone to visit any patreon site unless it was this way. it's a crazy genius idea.
