Yuzi Koshiro needs to make Coronation Streets of Rage. Jackie Chan takes over Roy Rolls and has to defend his new business from the likes of a Neo Nazi Max Platt, the fugitive Terry Duckworth, black widow Tracy Barlow, corrupt local politician Sally Webster and finally a resurrected Richard Hillman in millitary-grade cyborg form. All while replenishing your engine bar with cups of tea and Betty's hotpots.

For those of you who, like me, wondered what the recipe was, especially since it's on screen so briefly, I took the liberty of transcribing: 1 1/2 Lb of neck of lamb, cubed 1 1/2 lb of potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced 1 large or 2 medium onions, roughly chopped 3/4 pint of light stock or hot water 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce 1 bay leaf (it's very unintelligble but this is my guess) 1 tablespoon flour 1 g drippings and 1 g butter OR 2g butter Salt and peper to season. Cook on regular 4 gas for two hours with lid on then 1/2 hr without lid to brown. (That would be 350 F for North Americans, it's an oven recipe) To be honest, for all the hullabaloo, it's an intensely basic recipe.

Yeah, it seems like whomever made this game just used whatever basic recipe they could find...I was kinda surprised that it was an actual full recipe to begin with! I thought it would've been just indecipherable scribbles/filler text or random incomplete recipe that didn't make any sense. But it's kinda cool that they actually included a real recipe that will actually work if used. If it was me, I would've added a couple unique ingredients in it to make unique compare to other Hot pot recipes. Nothing that would ruin the recipe but just enough to make it standout or seem unique.

I was confused about the whole "hot pot" thing as it seems this specific version is very British. We don't have this in the US (under the name Hot Pot). Here hot pot is a Chinese dish where you cook the various components of a stew right at your table with a cooking bowl or pot in the middle of the table.

A while back I was going to try watching all of Days of our Lives as a challenge, and discovered it wasn't in fact the longest running soap, episode-wise. what's weirdest to me that in both cases, you simply can't. There's absolutely no way to find any previous seasons, archived or otherwise, for view. I've struggled to even find them available for download through nontraditional channels. What I mean to say is, with the noble efforts of games preservation and the absolute dismissiveness of soap opera producers' work past the last few seasons, there may well come a time where it is easier to play this game than watch the damn show, which means this game actually gets palpably and measurably worse with every passing day.

Since I am not remotely in the soap opera demographic, this was a trip to hear about. I don't think I've heard Kim just really give it to something as brutally as she did this, even games she hated. Usually it's all about context, but no, this one was kinda just... Like, why not make a visual novel, instead? Visual novels are the modern soaps, and the format is perfect for any fan of the genre, even older people who might not know the term visual novel. Just make it have a tutorial explaining what to do and how you get to essentially play out an episode as if you're one of the characters. Easy.

A lot of Hidden Object games have no timer or limited guesses. The hints are usually on a cooldown though. They're generally made for relaxing play.

Early part of Saints Row IV had you play a 50s sitcom, with whole settings changed but it was quickly figured out it's a facade for Alien invasion. I wish we would spend more time going around Western suburban towns just... going Postal... Oh, that series works. No driving tho!

I know you made this to point and laugh at something awful, but If you want some really good hidden object games I can suggest some. Grim Legends, Enigmatis, or Nightmares from the deep are terrific HoG games. They also have an option to switch the object finding sections into puzzles.

The 11-minute speedrun is ludicrous. If it wasn't for the occasional pauses and use of hints I'd half be expecting to see a "The Case Of The Missing Hotpot WR Controversy" video popping up in my feed a few years from now. That was someone who *really* didn't want to hear that stupid kettle any more times than necessary.

Weatherfield apparently celebrate the Day of the Dead or something cos every house has got the same fucking pinata, and the same model ship. Also 7:03 Note the box of Brain Lickers (the green one) in the shop they had to digitally swirl the side of since they could afford to license Corrie but not a cheap garbage candy that tastes like battery acid

There's something harrowing about seeing early 2010's era Corrie characters a decade later. The combination of the then baby faced young adult actors who now look old and tired, or the older actors who are now either dead or entering the third/fourth century of unnaturally prolonged lives is profoundly upsetting to see. My whole morning is ruined and it's all that unnamed Twitch fan's fault. :p

This is the most British thing I ever seen, specifically in a bad way... like one one side you have games with posh Tomb Raider, badass & suave 007 and legendary Sherlock Holmes, and on the other... recipe for blandest English hot pot you try to click on among the junk surrounding these messy homes with unpleasant suburbanites starting at the camera... Did Coronation street ever get any fandom abroad? Feels like the kind of super-UK stuff even diehard fans of boarding schools, Royal family and English Breakfast would skip.
