I can't fucking take it. I see an image of a random score posted and then I see it, I fucking see it. "Oh that looks kinda like the cloutiful 63 situation" it started as. That's funny, that's a cool reference. But I kept going, I'd see a game with ping that showed 63ms, I'd see that I'm on the 6/3 page on my school homework, my last notice to pay my electricity bill is 630.00$ , I'd notice that it's been 63 days since the last time I touched a woman. And every time I'd burst into an insane, breath deprived laugh staring at the image as the number 63 ran through my head. I'm scared to look at the time when someone asks me what time is it. It's torment, psychological torture, I am being conditioned to laugh maniacally any time I see an 2-digit number which is anywhere close to 63. I can't fucking live like this... ok i get that but like you can get (almost) the same result by just having a key invert states (with the only difference that it will hold for as long you dont tap but like that changes nothing). if you only invert the state of your key, it's one movement (down stroke) to one input (deactivation). am i dumb?

@@akasakasvault7597 yes, I had the same thought! and I believe thats technically allowed under osu's rules. It's significantly worse though and I feel would be more like a gimmick. it would makes any sliders practically unplayable and overall itd be much harder than this

by that logic, double tapping would also be against the rules - it's one movement providing two inputs, the only difference is that it's one activation and one deactivation instead of two activations

@@mystith incorrect. with double tapping, you have two fingers each doing two movements, both going down to activate the key, and then both going up to release the key. with this method, you still have the same movement and same amount of inputs, but cloutiful has essentially "unbided" his downstroke, so it does nothing and cannot be counted as one of the movements. that's the difference, because now the activation and deactivation are happening with the same upwards movement, which fundementally breaks the one movement one input rule.

so it's bannable because the rule is "one press = one click" while wooting's macro allows for "one press = two clicks" ? I mean that sounds kinda dumb but I get it. You can effectively double your streams without extra effort, if the baseline is 222bpm, that means you can get up to 444bpm. Unrelated note, but is extra keybind also illegal? like what if you change other keys to z and x for more buttons? hell, what if you go full ADOFAI?

they most likely tweeted that because of what you're saying, and also because the tweet was made by the CEO of wooting, who reportedly knows nothing about the game. i also really hope this never becomes allowed because its a clear disadvantage, not something accessible to any player. (which to be fair, rapid trigger is also an unfair disadvantage, but to a much lesser extent than full on macros.)

@@chocomitonycouldn’t they add settings in game which replicate the keyboard? Or am i being dumb in thinking this? I’ve heard people say that it shouldn’t be limited to 2 keys so that people can use more for speed as well.

@@PartyCrasher04 I don't think that's possible, its a keyboard function, something that can be done because of its switches and all of that stuff I don't know much about. I think it would ruin the game if it became allowed, its a rhythm game at the end of the day and people just mashing their way through speed maps is essentially everything i think is wrong with osu.

It did remind me of this but they are still completely different with the whole I press the key that activates when unpressing with a set time it deactivates. Vs raw input on the NES controller with each individual finger moving left or right fast. Needing Specialized hardware to do it vs. Everyone can do rolling on original/expexted hardware you own

rolling is fine since every player can't do it. to do DKS is like having a ton of money and that already invalidates everything. that and peppy rules
