@@Itsz_samlollTool Assisted Speedrun Essentially what you're watching on screen isn't a human playing it's an AI that's been given thousands of previous reference videos by speedrunners so it could essentially create the perfected speedrun
@@genericwhitekidthesecond4330 This is not correct. A TAS is made by humans, using emulators to speed up, slow down, rewind, and use perfect inputs frame-by-frame. AI TAS sounds cool though, might be a thing in the future but afaik we're not quite there yet.
"It's like they're inviting me IN." The game that got me obsessed with House of the Dead, period. Classic voice acting. And the game is 20 years old this month! That's wild. Arcade version was a lot harder due to the gun system though.
+AnimeXFateGamerLover Yeah, especially the winged creature with the scary skeleton looking face that flies right in front of the car at the beginning of the game. I lol every time I hear his voice
The series is basically that, even 4 and Scarlett Dawn But they're enjoyable as time wasters and they've been a part of my childhood going into arcades and seeing my brother play the first one and then playing the games myself when I knew how to find the files to play the first three games on PC.
Have you realised that when you enter the Goldman building, you say "it's like they're inviting me in". In HOTD4, when you enter the Goldman building, you say "it's like we're being invited in."
Everyone talking about voice acting of this game not the gore, variety of monsters, spooky soundtrack, awesome boss fights and great gameplay that this classic has
I think the main selling point of the House of the Dead series is the hilariously bad voice acting. The gameplay itself is hella good. But the bad voice acting takes the cake.
Okami Amaterasu HOTD4 3 & 4 had better voice acting. Then HOTD4 Special they made Kate sound weird, and Scarlet Dawn it’s obvious they did the voices bad on purpose. Thornheart/Mystery Man an old man has the voice of a 30 year old. Lol
1:16 I've played this many times in my childhood and for the longest time I thought that you could save the guy but I felt I was just to slow to kill the zombie.
I used to go to the arcade with my brother to play both this and Time Crisis 2. Since both games were right in front of a Dance Dance Revolution machine, it was next to impossible to hear the actual dialogues and music of The House of the Dead. Nowadays... I'm kinda grateful to that loud music. The voice acting of this game is... wow....
Zombie: I'm gonna pop out here in this window where he least expects me to come out. TAS: Omae wa mou shindeiru (Pops a bullet before the zombie reveals itself) Zombie: NANI?!
I used to spend a shedload of money playing this game when I was young but ever since I got it on the wii me and my friends wouldn’t stop playing it! We got into a lot of conflicts and everything because of this game my little brother the most he was upset when I took his last pound to play this good old days and a bearded guy tried to give me a slap for trying to steal his game too that’s how much I loved this game, now I noticed it’s money racket you can’t go against playing when you’re a kid
