I wish arcades were more popular now a days, I rarely ever see them anymore. I remember playing these types of games with my sister at my movie theaters arcade room as a kid. They still have an arcade room but the games are different now, more family friendly. Still, I remember how fun it was to play this right before the movie started seating... good times.
Same, my local arcades went out of business due to the rise of pc and mobile games. Tbh, I prefer arcade games over most mobile games because I think they are cheap experiences that sort of bait you into buying lots of microtransactions. House of the dead and other arcade games > majority of mobile games.
I remember playing this with my cousin in a taiwanese mall called SOKO in Zhongli. Uncut of course. Being both 10 years old didn't matter. What mattered was, that we had enough coins to play it all day long. For being that young, we both had a great interest in firearms and ran around our grandparents house guns blazing with Chinese toy guns on a daily basis and had the time of our life. Did have my fair share of nightmares of zombies, but was worth it playing this with my cousin in the good old days. Never made it past the first rooms in the factory though.

I remember when I was a kid (around 8 or 9 maybe?) and saw the first House Of The Dead in an arcade. I was terrified but I thought it was awesome and crazy realistic. Now I look back and am like... That's it?
When I was a kid, I thought ps2 tekken 4 and drakengard graphics were life-like. Now looking back and comparing modern graphics, it's a hard no. Young eyes interpret the world differently from experienced ones.

That's not what Daniel Curien's motives are. His motive is to "walk toward the future bearing the burden of his dad's crime". If he were to repeat the past, then he would lose the will to walk to the future or live his life the way he is now ("What life do I have to live?!")
Fairly sure HotD 3 has semi-automatic shotguns. Not that you can really tell from this gameplay; these guys have cracked out trigger fingers. lol. HotD 4 does give you an automatic pistol, though. It's actually pretty nice, cause it spares a lot of wear on your trigger finger.
I used to play this game with my dad in the arcade of a mall it was the mall we went all the time in 2012-2015 I remember we were so excited when we finnaly killed the Death in the office building but could never see the last boss. Now its 2022 and that arcade is closed in the mall sadly.

Yep, it's a great series and the latest game came out in 2018, although it's only in arcades right now. I would highly recommend checking out the rest of the games.

I feel like this was always the one with the best voice acting. Still nowhere close to good, but at least they actually kind of tried. Overkill and HOTD 2 by far have the funniest
HOTD1 had slightly better voice acting than 2. HOT3 was ok. But HOTD4 was the best one.....Then Scarlet Dawn, it’s obvious they did the bad voices on purpose. I mean the Mystery Man (Thornheart) voice who’s old has the voice of a 30 year old trying to sound old. Lol
What configurations did you happen to use to enable netplay to work properly? This is Dolphin, correct? Because when I attempt to play with a friend on this game, I cannot bypass any menus even though both of us have the same configurations regarding graphical, and control settings. Are you saying you have no controls online at all? If that is the case, it sounds like you might not have set the Wii remotes before starting netplay. Also, which version of Dolphin are you using?
Honestly the first 2 games were the most creepy, starting with this game they became more cartoony. Like the house of the dead 2 zombies are fucking terrifying.

Hi. How you managed to enable wiimotes in netplay? Afaik new Dolphin release (5.0) don't support them in netplay. Or you just assign gamepad buttons to virtual wiimote?
This was played on an older version of Dolphin from before they disabled Wii remotes in netplay. It was version 4.0-6502. I'm not sure if it was necessary for this particular game, but I had nunchuks plugged in on both player 1 and 2.
On the PC version, you can reload by right clicking. On the Wii version, which is shown in this video, you normally have to point offscreen (but not shoot) to reload.However, Dolphin has a "hide IR" feature which I set to the right button on the mouse. Since "hide IR" makes it reload, it was basically the same as playing the PC version.
Arcade: Reload by loading the lightgun in the same way you lock-and-load a pump-action shotgun (makes sense given the weapons used in HOTD; I have played the original arcade version before at a local arcade).
