The Wannsee Conference was held at this house at 18 - 20 Am Grossen Wannsee, along the shores of the Havel Lake in south western Berlin. As you can see, the Wannsee Conference house boasts a very scenic location although it was not so scenic on 20 January 1942 as the weather that day was very cold. This venue was changed to this building as it could offer catering facilities which the first chosen building could not. It is hard today to imagine that such a horrifying conference could take place in such a lovely location.
