The main character is clearly the bad guy. He kept coming out with details that contradicted what he says earlier in the story. First it started out saying nothing ever happened. Then his monolog changed to somethings happened when they first started dating in the form of a 3 way. Then he was outraged that he was accused of having an affair with her sister. Then he comes clean that there is no way steve or carrie could have found out. That they made sure they only met when neither were around. Meaning he did indeed admit to having an affair but not before lying about it. I bet the story about the bear is a lie too. I bet he killed steve himself.

SPOILERS Ya know not gonna condone the actions of Steve here but.....I feel like honesty from the protag would've saved this situation. Like a friggin gun is to your head and you don't think it'd be a good idea to let the guy who's already determined that you're lying and sleeping with his wife know that the only time you did was before she even met him? Keeping it from him clearly wasn't working. Then again, high stress situation and thinking about interested parties like his wife probably didn't help his reasoning either. EDIT: Wait. Hold up. Scratch that. Getting to the end. Dude was totally cheating with his sister-in-law. Welp. Fuck that.

I think the bear is symblic. For the main character, the bears represents Steve's jealousy, for Steve, the bear symbolizes his own insecurity getting the better of him, eating him alive.

My friend lived in an alternate reality. Is my favorite story of all time from anyone on RU-vid. At the end of that story he made it sound like he was going to continue looking into that alternate reality. I would love for there to be a part two. That story was so awesome. I know it’s random but I’m saying what I’m saying but I listened to it again for like the fifth time the other day

At 4:00 minutes in, I would have left. There’s no excuses. Everything past that is literally just so the story can happen. No rational person stays around past that. Great narration, though.

Me most people aren't rational in real life either. People in real life get abused domestically with knives, threatened with death, and much worse than what transpired there -- and they do nothing about it out of concern for other family, friends, reputation, fear, etc. He even explained that his reasoning for sticking around is only because he was worried about how his wife would feel. It's a very realistic thought, and it can be reasoned that at that moment Steve wasn't intentionally trying to threaten him with death (which is further backed up by Steve apologising later on). If your main protagonist in a horror story is a perfect arbiter of logic and rationality, it isn't very realistic.

I'm surprised I had to scroll so far down to see this. I know that for some people the desire to keep the peace overrides just about everything, but the guy literally shot at him! And wouldn't even admit that it was unsafe or wrong he just kept justifying it! There is no way I'm going on a *hunting trip* with someone who so blantanly ignores gun safety. It's just asking to be shot.

I'm listening to this on your podcast but I wanted to come I've here so I could make a comment. Your narrations are always SO good. Once I listen to one of them I end up going on a listening binge. I don't want to be rude or put anyone down but there's one creepypasta narrator who picks such good stories but I can never make it through to the end bc of the way he speaks. Hint: Think burger king foot lettuce. I'm only mentioning this bc I wish you would narrate some of the stories he's done so that I can actually listen to the stories all the way thru. If you know who I'm talking about maybe you can have a look at his channel and see if you would want to narrate any of the stories he's picked. Either way, thanks for making this content it's always A1!

Kyle Bradley yeah I have hard copies of all three and the first two audiobooks on my iBooks. But they pulled season two down from mcps RU-vid because it conflicted with the release of v3. Which is dick, because that’s almost five hours of gas station audio I can’t mix into my rotation.
