Quick Tip: If the used knickers you've been using to sniff have started to lose the smell, just lightly steam over a freshly boiled kettle to reactivate the scent
Merry Christmas to you, your lovely partner and the little bub. Cheers for the entertaining videos over the years, and I look forward to many more. GC8's are starting to come into their own, nice choice...
Absolutely love GC8s especially with the retro badge/sticker in the center of the rear boot. Was never a fan of the interior (or boxers) but they do have a special place in my heart.
Your story for why you wanted one sounds exactly like mine. As a kid a sat in a blue one at a 98 motorshow. I have lots of cars that come and go but once I bought a blue gc8 its the only one I don't sell due to those memories I have of it at the 98 motorshow as a kid who loved cars collected old school motor and wheels magazines this was the car talked about around that time. Them getting stolen and cops not catching them made me dream of this car as a kid and eventually Got one in the same blue I sat in an my99 model with big wing.
Gott love that boxer sound. GC8 is one of the best. I remember stopping at Lilydale Subaru when they had the 22b in the window on the way back from Hills runs always a hero car for me.
Congrats mate! I was slightly worried the last few months you were slowly gonna stop doing videos after they sold off…. Very keen to see the next stage!
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a GC8 (even more so a GF8) but you already have an Evo 6 - I don’t see why YOU would bother. But I’m keen on the content regardless.
I had the same problem when I bought mine. So many peeling/faded paint, no books, overpriced, etc so went next best shape , GD. Can't wait to see how much dirt comes out of this one.
I bought a green gc8 nearly 20 years ago, I still own it it’s not green any more and is almost brand new from front to back with lots of mods, big power for a subie and some definite 1 off mods that make it a very exciting drive
Mine was very original until about 12 months ago, its a very honest car that has full books and oil done every 5k since new. Well loved by all three owners but was starting to feel slow compared to everything else around it.
Funny how they were so quick they could out run the cops and smash 99% of v8s in the day but they put out around 108kw at the wheels, most of these would be more cut up and chop shop numbers jobs than s15s
Hey mate, soon as I saw the title I messaged my cousin who has DM'd you. When he bought it I pleaded with him to keep everything OEM. I know you appreciate OEM gear from the VN vids. I froth it myself! Definitely worth a look. Cheers mate.
In Sydney they had them as Coppa chase cars... I know, as the first day I got my license I got pulled over by one at Bondi Junction... I guess my TX3 was a bit spicy hahaha
