Join me for a guide to The Hūnua Traverse which is a 44.5-km two-way ride with a total elevation gain of 1,100m+
It encompasses public and private roads between Clevedon Village and Kaiaua on the Seabird Coast. The majority (26km) of the Hūnua Traverse follows Watercare service roads within the Hūnua Ranges Regional Park.

Thanks for this, I am riding it with a group tomorrow and we are a little nervous, but your guide was great... little worried about the turns where there are no signs!!.

Hey Jason, thanks so much for the video. Really helpful for planning! Deciding if I do the coastal loop or the there and back.. I was leaning the coastal to mix it up, but are there many cars that way? Thanks so much!

No problem. The coastal route tends to be a lot quicker back but yes there are quite a few cars. Just make sure that you have lights and are well visible and you should bw ok.

Thanks Jase, I saw on Strava you had done it yesterday. Was hoping to ride this week but was a bit nervous about the route. The video helped a lot.
