Love is complicated. We love people in different ways, he DOES love the girl just in a more down to earth way, wereas the first was his all consuming first love from college. Those leave all sorts of marks on our soul. There are no two identical loves. Her problem is precisely that she is competing with something instead of accepting her relationship exactly for its own merits. Because she is straining against it, she becomes anxious and stupid.

They’d been broken up for 2 years before this show began. And he originally worked somewhere else. His current girlfriend used her dad’s name to get a promotion and get the ex hired in at the position that the FL lead worked. She brought that on herself, she really is an immature person.

Es porque ese es el caracter de el. El es un personaje medio TEA, de pocas palabras pero si te fijas sus dialogos son todos en profundidad y exponiendo toda su sinceridad y su amor y admiracion por ella. Como vas a representar una persona que es de pocas palabras convirtiendlo en un loro? Justamente es esa dinamica interesante entre dos diferentes caracteres que terminan complementandose muy bien y llenando huecos en la vida del otro la que hace de esto una historia de amor mas bonita y realista. Personas imperfectas conviertiendose en el suplemento que los ayuda a estar mejor en conjunto. Ella porque lo protege y abriga, y el porque la cuida y la mima. Creo que es un lindo mensaje.

I agree its a very good drama, disagree that xu kai faded into the background in any way. Also, weirdly, i kinda hated eternal love. I'm not a fan of the heavenly dramas, though I thought mark chao was very handsome. But Yang Mi is my all time fave female actress. She's just such a powerhouse!
