I love mine. The one piece of advice I can give on those is watch the stock screws. Both the front stock one and the front trigger guard one came loose on mine after about 100 shots. Blue loctite and it’s no longer a problem. I only noticed because the accuracy started to get erratic and occasionally the safety didn’t activate. Now it’s a tack driver, outshoots all my Gamos. It’s more accurate than I am and not at all hold sensitive.
I own two of those 2020 model HW30S's, both with open sights only. Shooting those with my kid all day long is a shitetload of fun. Every shooter, whether you're a center fire-, rimfire- shooter or an airgun- shooter, you should own one. These things are brilliant bro, love 'em!
That's exactly how my HW97KT came to me from AOA and even though nothing was wrong with the gun I wasn't happy with the shit packing for a 800 dollar gun.
That’s looking great, that’s one of the best break barrel in the world.. my cousin have one from a long long time and still working great in .22. Enjoy that Gem 💎
Its been a while since this video. Anyway: I again ordered also this little Hw30s. I really like it. In .177 of course. Ita accurate and beautiful. Also this time I will open it, for degreasing and re-lubing. The last time it kept giving a bit of smoke even after lots of pellets. Sadly Weihrauch doesnt use moly fromout the factory. And always, Literally always I found grease on top of the piston seal. But: its a Weihrauch. And build to last, and to do maintenance on it. Great little gem you have there.
Congratulations on your new rifle. Looking forward to a review. I thought i was the only person to hope a new gun likes cheap pellets. They never do though!
Thank you 🙂👍. All three of my other 22 caliber HW rifles like Crosman Premier Hollow Point pellets. I had the little guy (HW30s) in the basement using open sites and my eyes are not really very good anymore, and I was getting nice tiny little groups with CPHP7.9. That still is not saying a lot, since it is very close range. I definitely will be busy this morning, because I'm taking my boy out to try to get a deer for him. After that hopefully airgun time 🙂👍.
Had three of these and wish I’d kept them! But just bought another! To my mind, you can keep its bigger brothers because this is the sweetest little springer you can buy. If you must keep it as a killing tool, don’t exceed 25-30 yds. But for target guys like me, it’s good up to 35yds on a wind free day.
Thank you 😃. I got this last year around this time. It's lots of fun 🙂. Monday I have a 1993 Diana 34 177 coming to me and I can't wait. I really think that you are going to love your HW30s😃👍.
Of all my Weihraughs this one is the most accurate at 10meters and the easiest to shoot it accurately. I have put a TbT delrin kit in it and it is smooth as butter. (out of the box it is great already)
That Euro styled stock should stay in Europe. Look for the old Beeman R7 style stock, without safety. Those were the best versions. Like everything, they were made better back in the day
Looking alot better than the packaging! Haha Hopefully it will like them cheap pellets for the funfun! _I never tried the seal preservation trick...I aint got no time for that haha_
Nice. I was wondering do you still have your Whisper Fusion? I heard you saying one of your videos that it was only getting 21 FPE? I was curious about that thinking maybe your elevation. My cousin has the 22 version and he was touching 23 FPE , even though that's not a big difference
Thank you 🙂👍. You are correct, 23 FPE versus 21 FPE is not a big difference in power. The rifle was shooting CPHP14.3 850 fps in the beginning and getting 23 FPE. These rifles come with excessive factory grease in the compression chamber. Once that grease is burned off you're going to lose a few FPS. Also, different things will affect your FPS besides elevation. Colder temperatures versus warmer temperatures, high barometric pressure versus a low barometric pressure is going to affect the speed and power of your air rifle, but not by enough to make a significant difference, while hunting or target practicing.
Thanks. Does the rifle "buzz? Does that bother you? Did you or will you install a tune kit? Was it worthwhile? Is that a do-it-yourself, or who could do that for me?
I put a Vortec spring and piston seal and shimmed the spring guide with a plastic pop bottle sleeve, no buzz, solid thud, 8+FPE, great rifle, worth every penny. Link to disassemble the HW30s. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kczxlupaZ8M.html
Hi, I’ve just ordered one of these. Do they now have the plastic strip in the cocking arm to prevent it scratching the cylinder when cocked do you know?
It's the HW30s. I think they are a little bit shorter and have a smaller compression chamber than the HW50. I believe the HW50 has a wedge detent, while the HW30s has a ball detent. I have not cronied it yet but I'm blowing holes through a tin can about 10 yards, so I know it would be good for a cottontail 🐇, close up for sure.
Your Gamo is made of plastic and its build quality is at the bottom of break barrel air rifle producers. If you want a rifle that is built to last, has extreme build quality, with all steel and all wood get a Weihrauch.
