... oh man , I'm an old geezer [push'n 70] , love gas motors but this is the future the old popular science mags were talk'n about ... that ending was AWESOME - thank you ...
I like that he does the lower cost cars when he runs into a good one. I love seeing the reviews of the 100k+ cars but the practical ones thrown in are nice too.
So I test drove this (currently have two model 3’s and an EV6 at the house. I will say for the price, it’s pretty nice. I think the increased mileage comes from the original estimate not using the WLTP standard so they kind of underestimated the mileage. My major complaints were tiny screen, not enough back seat room (I’m 6’1”) and the trunk area without seats folded down was white small. Didn’t care for the front wheel drive setup either. The speed and lane keep assist was very “ping-pongy” and bounced between the lines constantly. Those are things that wouldn’t bother a lot of folks though and at this price point I think it’s a great EV. Funny thing is the EV 6 also charges to well over its reported range when we got it so there’s obviously some welcome head room in these batteries.
Briefly worked at a Hyundai dealership, spent a lot of time behind the wheel of the ICE Kona as a result, really good car. I imagine the EV is even better, might consider it when I’m shopping for my next one (though I love the way the Ioniq 5 looks)
