More than like a 256Kb drive, we get those at my place every couple of months for programming the display on like our coffee machine to display the new promotions or change the programming for the oven.. 5$ for a box of 50 of the things or something like that. We use them then toss them.

Not even 5$ those USB drives are dirt cheap, we use them at my work for programing the coffee machine screens every few months with the latest promo and we toss them afterwards. They have like 250Kb capacity, a whole box of 50 might cost 5$

Unfortunately for him, ATMs are pretty much the single type of device that will never have the default admin code, but even despite that, this would be the wrong way to do that, you would need to find the ATMs ip address and ssh into it, which is a whole different story, you would need in depth knowledge of the system and even then it would be very hard to make it give you money

Almost nothing even vaguely secure has a default admin password in 2021, and they definitely don't have "the" default code. There's not some magical default code that everything uses, and ATMs are hardly the "single type of device" that doesn't use a default admin password.
