I was glues to the television when this aired, and surprised to see Tina wearing earrings, because I never had seen her wear any before this performance.

This is the most confident I’ve ever seen of her performances. She is fully into her own and it shows. You can see it and feel her freedom

This is the first time that I’ve seen this video I love it TINA is by far my favorite singer but this video she and the ikettes they really rock the house here I have watched it over and over again Tina Turner was a very talented person when it came to the dancing she was always on point and so were the ikettes I am so glad I found this

Or maybe it was the threat of getting her ass beat if she didn’t perform with precision. Yes the art was her own but knowing that there would be consequences if she didn’t perform well was partly why she performed so well

@@paisleyprincess7996 Tina wasn't anyone's punching bag. Keith Richards said he heard her beating up Ike in the dressing room one day. He made it clear that Tina wasn't someone to mess with. Search for the videos of Judy Joe Brown talking about Ike and Tina. He witnessed Tina's rage and talks about the violence he witnessed her inflict on Ike. Ike and Tina had a dysfunctional and volatile personal relationship but they communicated well musical. Every musician and singer who worked with Ike praises his musicianship and leadership skills.

@@bluesugar58 She may have held her own, but that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t still get her ass beaten for not performing. He beat her up with a shoe stretcher for being sick one time, and in the Tina documentary she alluded to the consequences of not performing
